roverandout Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 gav, they can, they should, just because we won doesnt mean that he can be forgiven for 12 months of poor results, i dont care if he wins the next 10 games, i would still want him out, if you had a dog that had once bitten you but hadnt done so for a while, would you still trust it?

Gav Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 gav, they can, they should, just because we won doesnt mean that he can be forgiven for 12 months of poor results, i dont care if he wins the next 10 games, i would still want him out, if you had a dog that had once bitten you but hadnt done so for a while, would you still trust it? But we're dealing with people who have no idea about owning a football club, thats the difference, he'll not be sacked, but I hope I'm wrong, I've missed 2 home games already on my enforced excile!
roverandout Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 i have a feeling too that he will be kept on because mrs D doesnt have the courage to do what needs to be done.
Mercer Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 IMO, Venky's are so difficult to read and so illogical. I would say, expect the unexpected. Kean to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Emge Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 All I want for christmas is STEVE KEAN OUT! STEVE KEAN OUT!! STEVE KEAN OUT!!!! I dont think Venkys are clever enough to sack him now, but the timing would be perfect if you think about it. After 3 vital points on saturday, a new (proper & experienced) manager coming in at this point would lift the whole place this christmas - the fans would all be united once again and some of the old Blackburn Rovers-feeling might come back - and we could climb out of the horrible relegationzone. Perfect time to sack him now. A potential manager might see the glimse of hope regarding survival and also the potenial that lies in our squad. Keep Kean and things will just pan on as it has done the past year - why think it will suddenly change after ONE win, and thats against a newly promoted team and at home as well. With Kean we will get relegated - so sack him NOW while there is still a chance for us to survive with a good manager in charge! KEAN OUT!!!!
roverandout Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 mercerman do you have inside info or is just your gut reaction?
47er Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I've just written all my Christmas cards with "KEAN OUT" on the front of every envelope! Every little helps!
Audax Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I read here earlier, I'm sure someone mentioned that the BBC webpages had the boo-birds article and it's open to comments.
Mattyblue Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 If the Harris story about Desai making the decision to keep the fool on the strength of a Yakubu high five, then this club really is fecked. If Kean can manipulate the 'matriarch' so easily, he's going nowhere.
ABBEY Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Kean in telewag .... Your not a fan if you jeer!!! I'm so angry at this statement !! 40 years coco plus a full family history going back as far as the ice age!!! How long as he?????? We will be here when you've gone you cretin!!! I'm off tommorow I feel a brockhall visit is a coming!!!
philipl Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Going to need patience today. Lots of stuff gouing on but nothing definitive as yet. The attendance by Barclays at the Board meeting and what they say might well be the most important event happening today even if Kean gets potted.
BuckyRover Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Barclays commented the other day about the running of the club didn't they? I saw it on twitter but didn't see anything anywhere else

Venky's haven't violated their agreement with Barclays have they? Wouldn't be surprised if they have, they are that stupid to think there will not be repercussions from doing so. Just out of interest, wasnt it a bank (cant remember if it was RBS or Barclays) that was pivotal in the sale of Liverpool from Hicks and Gilette to John Henry? Could we be heading down a similar route here?
Kamy100 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Dear Oh Dear, Kean future very much in the balance this morning but I didn't think it was possible for even Venky's to screw up sacking Kean but IF the name of the potential replacement that I have been given is true then honestly i'd rather keep Kean (that's how bad this replacement is). If I get it confirmed will reveal the name but I am hoping and praying it is a nasty rumour.
bringdunnback Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Barclays commented the other day about the running of the club didn't they? I saw it on twitter but didn't see anything anywhere else No that was Patrick Barclays, a journalist. I made the same mistake. G Somerset Rover Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Dear God, who could be worse? David Pleat? Les Reed? Chris Hutchings?

Are they going for the cheapest option and not realising that you have to invest to get anywhere in this league?

I'd imagine the replacements name is a scare tactic to try and get Kean some support.
Mc Love Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 That face gah! God i hate the two bit man. Yeah get rid at all costs
BrisRover Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Dear God I hope it's not Gary Megson or Brian Laws
brian_gallagher85 Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I'd take Megson, his stats look amazing compared to Keans!
Mc Love Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 If the owners give a contract to end of league to another nobody but at least someone better than kean because frankly anyone is better than coco than i will be happy
chocky Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Not another day of rumours and guesses. FFS have we not learned anything. Please, if it's not FACT don't put it in here or anywhere.
Blandy Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 Kammy, can I have a guess at the replacement you have heard, is Zhavi pushing Avram Grant for the job.......
BuckyRover Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I don't think anyone in their right mind would have expected a decent manager appointed. We'll just have to hope he's better than Kean. To be fair, a lot of people scoffed when Pardew was appointed.
