Amo Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Hodgson has kind words for Kean in tough times for Blackburn boss 'You've got to hope they are not being swayed by a lot of the outside noises and judgements they will be hearing. 'I think Steve Kean has shown a lot of dignity in that situation. He's got on with his job and actually got some quite good results along the way as well.' lol. Dignity. I guess it takes one **** Rovers manager to sympathize with another.

Backroom DE. Posted December 17, 2011 Backroom Posted December 17, 2011 'I think Steve Kean has shown a lot of dignity in that situation. Other than beating Liverpool last year and helping Arsenal beat themselves this season what good results have we had along the way?? Love how managers stick together no matter how cack one of them is. Might as well not bother asking them their opinion on each other because save one or two they'll just arse-lick.
BuckyRover Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 To be fair, he is hardly going to criticise him before our game today. It's not going to make him look good if we lose is it? You can't take what other managers say seriously. They are all in competition with each other. He's talking to his players and fans and not us.
tomphil Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Nice to see Merson slagging off Keans second half tactics at sunderland. No comment whatsoever from the rest of the panel. Just brushed aside to continue the O'Neil love in.
Stonesrick Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Also you can tell Nicholas is a mate of CoCo because he's blaming Robinson for not coming for crosses!
Backroom DE. Posted December 17, 2011 Backroom Posted December 17, 2011 Also you can tell Nicholas is a mate of CoCo because he's blaming Robinson for not coming for crosses! The little cretin will do anything to deflect the attention away from his buddy 'Stevie' Kean.
2k. Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 The little cretin will do anything to deflect the attention away from his buddy client 'Stevie' Kean. fixed it for you, Charlie Nicholas is a director of SEM/Kentaro
jim mk2 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 What possible reason is there for this manager still to be in this job ?? Can someone please explain ?? I just don't understand.
Andy Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I know we've had all of our false dawns, but Kean HAS to go after today. If he doesn't, he will genuinely be here for 2-3 years, completely irrespective of the fact that we'll be in League 1 by then.
AllRoverAsia Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 If Kean sat on Santa's knee he couldn't win a prize
booth Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 He didn't hang around at the end of the match did he!
Audax Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Kean has to go, the timing here is all mixed up though, to bring in someone for the next game which is Tuesday or Wednesday... but has to be bloody done. Losing to WBA, just so many of these you can lose...lose one to Sunderland and West Brom but not both. Depressing. I'd bring in the ex-Cardiff manager, Jones. Over at Bolton, there have been many managers who bottle it at some point in their career, even Man Utd. has had sort of a bad streak, at least Coyle can look back and say he did have some success but I expect him to be walking too.
Amo Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 +1 if Kean will be our manager for the next game.
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Mark__Bright Mark Bright Steve Kean just said the Owners are fully behind him, he won't quit, he's a fighter, he & team will be in tomorrow to prepare for Bolton. 1 minute ago Favorite Retweet Reply https://twitter.com/#!/Mark__Bright
Scott18 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 He's on Sky now, he looks like he is going to burst into tears. Time To Go Keano.
Stuart Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 He really shouldn't be in a position to make these statements. I feel sick that he's still here. And we all thought the Walkers were reluctant owners, Venkys make them look like superfans. On a side note, there is still a guy who sits in front of me who continues to back Kean and was shaking his head at all of the Kean Out chants today. He doesn't care if we are relegated and just says 'well I'll be here no matter what division we're in'. I really can't understand this anti-logic.
G Somerset Rover Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 A mate works for a large national paper so has lots of contacts. He's convinced that some players and other members of staff have been spouting off how unfit they all are compared to the Allardyce days and even quoted one player as saying 'they're not even match fit'. The late goals we've been conceding would certainly add weight to this.

Stuart Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 And another thing, it's interesting that Kean continues to state 'the owners back me'. He doesn't say Venkys or the Rao family, he says 'the owners'. Hmm, if I was a conspiracy theorist...
Backroom DE. Posted December 17, 2011 Backroom Posted December 17, 2011 Kean will never walk away from this job. He has neither the dignity nor the motivation to do so. He does not care what the fans think of him and he does not care about Blackburn Rovers. Ditto Venky's. We're screwed.

I also don't recall seeing the Venkys logo as frequently on the electric hoardings around the pitch.
Bluefudge Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 No Venkys logo all afternoon around the pitch. Brand image removed ???
Mattyblue Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 We can all chant till we are blue in the face, but there's nobody listening.
