Veevs Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Was Emerton paid off or allowed to return home because he wanted to go? Yeah released was a copy and paste typo there..
rog of the rovers Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Any idea how the newbies got on in the friendly match against Wrexham (as mentioned by Kean on SSN)? Edit Just looked on twitter. Apparently Rovers 5-2 Wrexham Dunn MOTM
Guest Rovers4Good Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Dunn, Rochina, Formica, Bruno, Nunes and Junior all played. Only saw glimpses but Dunn looked good and Rochina was different class It was only Wrexham Reserves.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Junior? Edinho.....I always think it's Hoilett, then it takes me a while......can we collectively call him Edinho to stop this obvious confusion please.
chaddyrovers Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 does anybody know the full lineup and who scored for rovers???
Oklahoma Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 So, anyone wants another portuguese player playing for Rovers? http://www.abola.pt/....aspx?id=354359 Rafael Veloso, 18 year old GK has signed for Rovers, according to this news. Rovers will have to pay less than 300000€ for him. He is a promissing GK, coming from one of the best football schools of the world, Sporting Lisbon (Cristiano Ronaldo, Figo, Moutinho, Simão Sabrosa and others all came from there). I think this is a great signing by Rovers, cheap and a good player for the next years...
Oklahoma Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 A suggestion for our midfield: Katsouranis, greek defensive midfielder. He is 33 but still plays for Greece. He has no club at the moment and he is much better than any of the midfielders we have at the moment. I believe he can still play 2 seasons in a good level. http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1714558.html?cid=rssfeed&att= He would fit in nicely and addapt well. Nuno Gomes could help bring him in, they played together in Benfica for 3 years.
Oklahoma Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Here are some players that the new manager should consider for an immediate impact in the team. They are all out of contract: Fábio Grosso (34 years old) Tal Ben Haim (30 years old) Jonh Mensah (29 years old) Zambrotta (35 years old) Katsouranis (33 years old) Drenthe (25 years old)
bluebruce Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Tal Ben Haim is garbage. Drenthe surely wouldn't come to us?
The Rover of Finland Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Jari Litmanen is still training and hasn´t announced his retirement. Yes I am joking but there is a true legend for my nation.
Sparky Marky Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Wolves sign pennant for 3 months. Good signing for them while we sit around with our fingers up our arses.
bluebruce Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Yeh, I'd take Pennant if he hasn't deteriorated in the last year somehow.
Sparky Marky Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Yeh, I'd take Pennant if he hasn't deteriorated in the last year somehow. only a 3 month commitment so nowt lost. Its the kind of signing a cute manager makes once the season starts and players aren't getting a game at bigger clubs. We're falling behind.
Ricky Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Surely Drenthe must have signed for someone by now!
Oklahoma Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Surely Drenthe must have signed for someone by now! No, still available...
The Rover of Finland Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 We should loan Palacios from Stoke.
