UbuRoi Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 It's a matter of time. There is an inexorable deterioration to this. Mundane and boring as it may sound, it's going to happen. Dressing room insurrection IS only weeks away. They'll start doing their own thing on the pitch. Apparently there were signs of this at Crawley with Bolton I'm informed. And I give you The Secret Footballer Murphy as the barrack room lawyer and leader of this coup. Not last season's half-arsed toys out the pram/hissy fits from the French players by the way. First sign... the perplexed player with arms out-stretched beseaching the bench for clarity. It really is only a matter of time.

Ralfinho Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 ?? I think what he is saying is how far away are our players from playing to get Kean sacked ala Liverpool against us with Hodgson incharge and the deliberate missed pen by Gerrard.
braddock Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I think what he is saying is how far away are our players from playing to get Kean sacked ala Liverpool against us with Hodgson incharge and the deliberate missed pen by Gerrard. You still believe that?
eire3382 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Whatever it take to remove kean! Then so be it.

trueblueroversiloveu Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I'm surprised it didn't happen a very long time ago tbh
booth Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I'm surprised it didn't happen a very long time ago tbh Look back at when Allardyce was sacked. Now check how many players are still here who were reported to have been kicking up a fuss.

I have seen mutinies before when players have wanted to get rid of managers and they have gone trhough the motions on the field. Murphy strikes me as being a strong character who may lead this.
heysham rover Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 One of the problems with you theory is that Danny Murphy isnt the secret footballer, its Dave Kitson.
braddock Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I find it hard to believe that he signed with the express intent to bring Kean down.
Mattyblue Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 The atmosphere around the club re the playing staff could have been mutinious when the likes of Samba, Salgado and Nelsen were here- they had no time for Kean going off what I've heard. However, is it now still the case? The majority of the squad are Kean signings (largely kids, has-beens and never-beens, greatful for the chance and the dosh) and seem to be behind their 'gaffer'.

Everything I've heard from inside the club implies the vast majority of players are very much behind Kean.
OJRovers Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Judging by the performances this season on the pitch, you woudldn't guess they are all 'playing for the manager'
John Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Since early on in his ill fated reign, we have heard the players are behind Kean and no other squad in world football has the "togetherness" like we do - shame it hasn't really helped things.
Roost Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Judging by the performances this season on the pitch, you woudldn't guess they are all 'playing for the manager' Or last season
UbuRoi Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 One of the problems with you theory is that Danny Murphy isnt the secret footballer, its Dave Kitson. You're wrong, Sheriff Wrong of Wrongsville, Wrongo County, United State of Wrong.
A cup of beans Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 One of the problems with you theory is that Danny Murphy isnt the secret footballer, its Dave Kitson. Is this true! ? LOL. I'd struggle to call him a footballer!
heysham rover Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Is this true! ? LOL. I'd struggle to call him a footballer! Had it from a few people who work in football journalism, I also did a bit of digging through the previous articles and it does stack up. Came from non league/lower league, became clubs transfer record (stoke).
Baz Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Everything I've heard from inside the club implies the vast majority of players are very much behind Kean. Maybe that's part of the problem Glenn? All the players loved Ray Harford, he just wasn't a manager.
Gav Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 I must admit to raising an eyebrow at the Murphy signing. He was a trouble maker at Liverpool and Rafa got rid as soon as he could. If things don't go well here he'll be speaking up I'm sure, but for now he's on Keans side after getting a cracking deal to come here. Let's not think of Murphy as some sort of saviour in all of this, because he's not, he's out for himself, but if it means getting rid of Kean the I'm all for it.
thenodrog Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Everything I've heard from inside the club implies the vast majority of players are very much behind Kean. Players should never like a manager.... they should respect him.
Ewoodbhappy Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Players should never like a manager.... they should respect him. Can you not like & respect at the same time?
