Guest Norbert Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 That's what I thought, but I couldn't remember who said it. Now that 'Probiz takeover' thread has been pulled by the admin here, I suspect some serious sh_t will be hitting the fan. Or some other murky deal that'll further confuse things is about to be done. Being a Rovers fan is sh_t.

Rover_Shaun Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Now that 'Probiz takeover' thread has been pulled by the admin here That's heightened the sense of intrigue
Lurid Coat Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 That's heightened the sense of intrigue Indeed. Too bad we can't discuss it, like.
Backroom DE. Posted March 18, 2013 Backroom Posted March 18, 2013 Seems Probiz as an entity are going the same way as Uncle Jerome... ye shall not speak their name.
Rover_Shaun Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Indeed. Too bad we can't discuss it, like. I can post Probiz with no problems
T.J.Newton Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 That's heightened the sense of intrigue for once we can agree on something, if something does happen I hope its not a long drawn out affair and is settled b4 the next pre-season training starts.
Rover_Shaun Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Yep. The new man needs no distractions...............
Guest Norbert Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 We'll probably barely hear of it if/when it happens. Glenn's pinned post sounds ominous. More "Let's not get sued", than "Keep quiet, there's a great deal about to be struck."
T.J.Newton Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Yep. The new man needs no distractions............... 'new man'- usually the case with new owners or major board re-shuffles, regardless of who the current manager is or how well he's doing We'll probably barely hear of it if/when it happens. Glenn's pinned post sounds ominous. More "Let's not get sued", than "Keep quiet, there's a great deal about to be struck." I'm guessing Mr Nahaboo or his associates may frequent these forums, so its best not to scare them off(or offend them!) when little is actually known about them or their intentions.#Imkeepinganopenmind
Guest Norbert Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Maybe, but in football, you can't help fearing the worst, having seen how the authorities are sound asleep at the wheel.
RevidgeBlue Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 It could just be there's nothing at all in it and a number of people are being defamatory about probiz for no real reason. I didn't read much into the original comments other than the fact they might look into the possibility of extending sponsorship, not take over the Club altogether. Still we'll see if anything further develops.
darrenrover Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 'Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.' Tennyson I think it's maybe true to say it could not last for ever But then again I'm certain it's better once than never And even if those winning ways never do come back They can't take away my memories, thanks to Uncle Jack. Hendry, Sutton, Batty, Shearer, the names roll off the tongue But 'there's only one Jack Walker' is still the Rovers' song, So forget the players' agents and smart Armani suits Raise a glass to Uncle Jack, a man who knew his roots. Lest we forget!!
thenodrog Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Indeed. Too bad we can't discuss it, like. We can but it'll have to be somewhere else.
Athlete Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I can post Probiz with no problems http://www.pontefractandcastlefordexpress.co.uk/sport/castleford-tigers/new-shirt-sponsors-sign-major-deal-with-tigers-1-2842183 they never did challenge Wigan or St Helens............. But remember Super League is more like in size the equivalent of League 2 or the Conference in some clubs case

Lest we forget!! I don't think there will be many of us who will forget what Jack did for Rovers. An unforgettable era, created by an unforgettable man. We'll probably barely hear of it if/when it happens. Glenn's pinned post sounds ominous. More "Let's not get sued", than "Keep quiet, there's a great deal about to be struck." As frustrating as it maybe, Glenn will have good reason for pinning the thread.
Mercer Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I might be cynical but Appy's reported sacking could be a prelude to the next step !!!
PAFELL Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I might be cynical but Appy's reported sacking could be a prelude to the next step !!! Where is this 'reported' sacking of Appy?
Guest Norbert Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Seems to have started on The Sun's site, then it went all over Twitter (including Andy Cryer), and now it is on the BBC site and everywhere else. It shouldn't mean we're going into administration as Appleton has had experience of that sort of situation.
Baz Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Would you like to change your assessment Philip? Seems we now have 2 lots of managers to pay off, as well backroom teams, plus negotiating settlements with Murphy, Givet & Robinson.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I don't think there will be many of us who will forget what Jack did for Rovers. An unforgettable era, created by an unforgettable man. All Destroyed in the space of just two horrible years of rank stupidity...Unforgivable.
Plastic Head Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Last day for clubs entering administration to be docked points this season is 28th March. If I was a certain Indian bank I would be seriously sweating, no way would they get any money back from Rovers in administration. I wouldn't do any business with Rovers at the moment unless I was paid up front that's for sure. Might also be worth re-reading the insolvency laws if you are a director at Rovers, we wouldn't want anyone on a daily regime of porridge and buggery would we?
cn174 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21970140 Coventry in quite a lot of trouble and have just been deducted 10 points.
Robbo Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21936883 Dunfermline are desperately trying to enter administration. Sad days indeed for my home town team. I spent my teens watching them home and away and i think it's 50/50 whether they'll even get to administration. Not been a good season for me at all!
