[Archived] Is It Time To Protest Against Venkys?

I think it's fair to say Abbey criticises them daily no matter what's happening

Oh I know he does and rightly so. Still next time bring up this thread even if Rovers win 5-0! Principle would still be the same.

You're only saying that because you are tired

Sleep on it

Absentee

The word says it all. PL is already in the press trying to speak to them and basically saying show us your intent in the summer. The intent will be a few more millions in sales and a few frees and loans in. Please someone save this then flag it up in August and tell me I was wrong.

slept on it ......VENKYS OUT!!!

I hate the venkys as much as anyone but I dnt think protesting now is the right time

why? its only going to get worse with or without them . Cut the snakes head off and start afresh.

it should be ringing all round the ground but as soon as you shout anything the Rovers Fans give it large.

Nothing to suggest this is Venkys but what an appalling advert (gone viral) for the chicken industry. Did read one of the comments saying it wouldn't be in the UK and that its probably in the US or Asia. I'm not claiming to be a huge advocate of animal rights particularly when it comes to the food chain (survival of the fittest and all that plus I prioritize humans) but outright cruelty is another matter.

Reminded me that just prior to Venkys takeover an animal welfare group wrote to Williams. "By taking money from Venky's, Williams would be promoting cruelty to animals." Can't imagine that's something Williams ever thought he would be accused of when he took the job lol! Not to mention it wasn't even him selling the club!

I would hope Venkys have got some sort of structure in place now with letting Sohail Pascha get on with making decisions on their behalf and him working well with Paul Lambert to rebuild this squad quickly. Ignoring Lambert's comments ahead of the Cup game, the fact is that in his short time at the club so far he has been well backed. He has been able to bring in Ward, Bennett, Jackson, Gomez, Graham, Watt and Grimes and they have backed him by authorising the sale of their golden boy Rhodes after 2 years of stubborn resistance in the face of huge money.

All the evidence so far points to Lambert being supported by the owners. I couldn't understand the reasoning behind his comments about a cup win encouraging Venkys to spend. If it was me I would be more encouraged to spend having seen us utterly dismantled in the second half by West Ham and the scale of the chasm in quality became clear for all to see. If we'd have outplayed West Ham then Venkys could be forgiven for thinking we were doing alright with what we already had without the need for further spending.

In any event, what happens in the cup ought to have little/no bearing on the overall plan which Lambert was recruited for - to build towards promotion. Losing 5-1 or winning 5-1 shouldn't really divert attention from the ultimate aim/plan which I hope we have in place.

This bloke Pascha is the key middle man and is undoubtedly the reason we are sat here with Paul Lambert as manager and £9 million in the bank from the Rhodes sale. If venkys weren't taking his advice on board then I believe we'd be sat here with Gary Bowyer as manager and Jordan Rhodes in the team still.

The food industry as a whole is excessively cruel. It's a rabbit hole most people will never go down, and that's probably for the best.

I protest against Venkys on a daily basis.

Every morning, I get up, open my bed room window and shout at the top of my voice, F**K OFF VENKYS...

Posted

And, apart from releasing your tension, frustration and hatred, what has it actually achieved. And yes I did protest by marching, attending the 24 hr protest, an eventually not renewing my season ticket when Kean didn't get potted but it is ultimately futile if the people you aim it at are not listening.

The irony is, that Rovers were the ones that got skinned

Releasing the tension and frustration yes, but I don't hold on to hate, it's a destructive emotion. I live too far away to have got involved with the protests, but supported them from afar. I also don't frequent Ewood very often these days, which is in its self a protest. Some won't agree with that, but we all have to be true to our own principles.

It really is a crying shame what they have done to our Club.

I've acknowledged my warning from this forum 😄

I was such a naughty boy for abusing the Sky Pundits. No wonder Rovers fans have ended up with owners that think they can shaft them if a fans forums can't handle some fruity language. Oh well let's all get back to Ewood and bend over and take it where the sun don't shine. Bunch of wussies

It's nothing to do with you slagging off the Sky pundits, it was the language used to do so! (The same goes for anyone else). Not sure why you feel that calling people 'a bunch of wussies' will help your case either?!

I thought a collective noun was needed for a group of people who sat behind a desk on TV. Nearly every show has them and most pontificate as though they know everything and that their audience are imbicles.

That's a misunderstanding on my part there, my apologies.

They are a set of goons.

I think we should get to the end of the season first and see what funds they provide for lambert in the summer. If they don't come up with the goods then I am firmly behind doing what ever it takes to get rid of them

Posted

Tend to agree with the above post as the way to go now. If they don't step up to the plate in the summer even in a sensible pragmatic way then enough is enough. It'll show we've been conned yet again and there is no intention of any ambition whatsoever from them for the club.

Posted

There's no chance of them spending what's needed .. They will sell sell and not reinvest . It will be loans again . They don't give s flying cluck about Blackburn , rovers or fans .

They are the most vile narcissist humans . Alls they are interested is themselves which was proven when fat Venky and slimy turd Venky rocked up when the queen came and they gave it look at us .

Tossers the lot of them

Posted

I agree, I've already said I reckon they are planning to bail in the summer. Even if not no one would surely be surprised to see another raft of big sales of key players whilst they are replaced by maybe 1 or 2 for peanuts them more loans and frees. Then we'll be told we are balancing the books and keeping the powder dry for Jan.

People keep telling me they'll spend in summer and everything is being put in place to kick on and yes it does appear that way. Then you look at the directors box and see the job sharing by people not really qualified to do either of the jobs they are sharing. Things still don't add up.

Posted

If they are planning to jump ship in the summer, the Club would need to be put up for sale now. As we saw with the Walker Trust sale of the Club, these things take a long time with lots of negotiating and due diligence.

Unless of course they are planning to sell the Club for £1 to any shyster that rolls up to the Club Gates.
