inflikted Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Can't confirm this but word among Man Utd supporters is that he's been told he'll have chronic problems for the rest of his life if he keeps playing so he's virtually done already. One person who seems to be close with the Academy there said the main reason he's being allowed to see out his contract is so he can be rehabbed for quality of life post-football rather than a return to play, with the club helping him get qualifications as he transitions to being part-time and then retiring at the end of the season, much like how they supported keeper Paul Woolston when injury forced him to retire. Shame to see such a promising career end the way it has, guy could have been one of the world's top defenders had injuries not completely disintegrated his knee. Maybe he'll get a job as a youth coach at United or Blackburn once he's got his qualifications? 4 Quote

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 His physical deteriation is unfortunate but he will have more than enough support and money in the bank for it not to be too much concern. Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 He never developed. He was making the same mistakes at 25 as he was at 18. Some of his injuries were caused by him being rash and over committing. Quote

Is there any point reacting at this point to a dying football club? Especially after reading Howard Walker was on the pitch just last month albeit with some minor criticism on Facebook. Then there's the disgusting Totally Wicked episode. The club and in some cases it's former personnel just sink lower and lower. I'm increasingly of the feeling that it would have been better had Man United snatched the title away at the end. Or better yet if Jack just hadn't bought the club at all. The only consolation is that as a non-believer in the afterlife I don't really believe he's aware of it. Every second I spend on here (which isn't much) is a waste of my time. Enough is enough. Is that something we can agree on? Edited 22 hours ago by Vinjay 1 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted 4 hours ago Backroom Posted 4 hours ago Fair play to Phil, at least he’s being proactive after having his career cut short 1 Quote

I’m gonna say it, I reckon you feel more strongly about Man United (via the mediums of hate and obsession) than you do about Rovers…. Quote
