GHR Posted December 13 Posted December 13 It would be tremendously funny if Edwards is shown the door before or once Wolves go down. 1 Quote

Rather have another promotion on CV and the opportunity to move onto a bigger club than money. You talk like Edwards is short of money. Maybe you are his financial manager the way you talk. Quote
roversfan99 Posted December 13 Posted December 13 Im not convinced he would have taken Boro up either way. And certainly, I dont think he would have then attracted a bigger club. I think theres a naivety though about the fact that football management is still a job. They wouldnt do it for free and wont be so flippant about money just because "they arent short of money." 1 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted December 13 Posted December 13 Im with chaddy on this one. Thought it was a strange move for Edwards to make. Other than a short term boost to his finances, couldnt really see any upside to it and he might end up making himself unemployable in the long run. 2 Quote

Who says he will take Wolves up after they get relegate given its complete rebuild with a new squad need and gelling quickly to get up, plus will the financial support be there to do that? 1 hour ago, roversfan99 said: And certainly, I dont think he would have then attracted a bigger club. Who knows but promotion on a CV is better than relegation on it. 1 hour ago, roversfan99 said: I think theres a naivety though about the fact that football management is still a job. Mattyblue Posted December 13 Posted December 13 No you’re right, people with money aren’t bothered at all about making more money. 3 Quote
roversfan99 Posted December 13 Posted December 13 I dont think I am the one who is being naive to suggest that money is still important to people earning well above an average wage. Quote
wilsdenrover Posted December 13 Posted December 13 If it wasn’t important there wouldn’t be any players on six figure sums per week. Quote

Gav Posted December 13 Posted December 13 (edited) I just heard a mouse piss on cotton at the morgue, empty seats all over the place, looks like the Premiership dreams is heading for 7 losses on the bounce 🤞 Edited December 13 by Gav 1 Quote

Some people are saying on here there was less than 6k at Ewood midweek (don't know whether that's confirmed) and the atmosphere at Ewood is just as bad as it is at their farm this year. The Dingles might have lost 6 in a row but I've no doubt if they played Venky Rovers next weekend they'd absolutely run through us. I think going on about their form or attendances will just make us look daft. I'm more worried they'll still be a division above us next year, even though they're coming straight back down 😞 2 Quote

I'm from Blackburn and I'm well aware of the rivalry, I grew up with it, same as everyone else. But thanks for not patronising me. Crowing about them being shite in the Premier League while we're shite in the league below and haven't laid a glove on them for 15 years is like pointing out your neighbour has a few loose roof tiles while your own house is on fire. 5 Quote

Why you on here then? Maybe stick to moaning about our result today and let me enjoy that shower getting spanked in a 6 pointer at home 👍 1 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted December 14 Author Posted December 14 You know when your luck isn't there. Loss and 2 own goals but credit to Wolves who made it hard for Arsenal. Very surprised to see Salah played for Liverpool. Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago First time watching Burnley this season (against a very poor Bournemouth side). It looks like they've bought a lot of duds this year. Let's hope their house of cards comes crashing down. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted 3 hours ago Backroom Posted 3 hours ago There’s some awful teams (much better than us still) in the premier league to be fair, Wolves on for the record low number of points Quote
Gav Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Just watching the Spurs v Liverpool game, it’s that quiet I just heard a mouse piss on cotton. Quote

They sold players for 140 mililion and reinvested the same on players in. Wolverhampton Wanderers - Transfers 25/26 | Transfermarkt last season, spent 124 millionn and sold for 116 miillion, Wolverhampton Wanderers - Transfers 24/25 | Transfermarkt so money has been reinvest in signings. I would say not signing enough PL knowhow players has been the problem or backing the wrong head coaches there I hope they back Rob Edwards given his connections to the club and why he went there, but its a complete revamp there for Championship Quote
