It’s media attention in a negative light. Edited Thursday at 22:16 by scotchrover 6 1 Quote
Upside Down Posted Thursday at 23:01 Posted Thursday at 23:01 Really need to start ramping up the boycotts now. The first was a success, as the club slides closer and closer to the level of venkys more people will start to see that it's the only way. The only thing they care about is the money. Don't give them any of yours. 6 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted Thursday at 23:33 Backroom Posted Thursday at 23:33 Yep whilst it’s clear incompetence the good news is how blatantly incompetent it is and should draw some attention and embarrassment which only helps us longer term. Can you imagine any other club in the country have an opportunity like a local international know label / brand wanting to collab and utterly messing it up? 5 Quote

JHRover Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago It being dealt with in the High Court is understandable as I assume the value of the claim easily exceeds £100k and it is probably quite a complex deal. I was wondering what Macron would actually be seeking in damages here and suspect it is a pretty penny if they are going to the effort of issuing a court claim and incurring all the costs that come with it. Presumably the value of a 1,2,3 year supplying deal with a Championship club. Rovers' legal costs are going to be huge if it runs. Fortunately we have billionaire owners who are happy to spend on the club and so we can easily afford to settle this. 2 Quote
ageoftherover Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Does a case like this offer the possibility of potentially clandestine information being dredged out in the form of prosecution discovery? Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago They'll bottle it and settle out of court then stick the damages on next years ticket prices after agreeing to pay off the settlement monthly for the next 5 years. 6 Quote
rovers11 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Quote from Nicko below he posted on X about Crystal Palace: "The Crystal Palace unraveling is rather sad" Interesting that he always defends Venky's on X whenever they are criticised because "they have ploughed in millions". Yet when Palace sell off their crown jewels and their manager quits, which has been happening here for years, he feels the need to speak up. But I suppose we're little old Rovers who should just be grateful someone is here to pay the bills... 5 Quote

Vinjay Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) It's a good thing I've become almost numb to shock (which probably isn't mentally normal in itself) as I probably would have had a heart attack after something I saw earlier this evening. Nothing to do with Venkys or Pasha (this is just the most relevant thread to post in right now) but there are some things where the odds are so great you have to wonder what the hell is going on. Some sort of universal force we just can't comprehend. This is a purely personal thing several years ago (long before I posted on here) I might only discuss it with a couple of somewhat trusted people. Given I have no intention of posting regularly on here again (especially after my 40th birthday which in football terms is quite a relevant age even though I'm certainly no footballer) it does not really matter anyway. Overall it changes nothing in regards to certain people. Edited 4 hours ago by Vinjay Quote
