Mattyblue Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I thought Sodexho was responsible for Blues too… as that certainly was how Swag et al tried to avoid responsibility for the Liverpool Legends night held in there. ’We knew nothing about it, honest, we’ve outsourced’. 1 Quote
rigger Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) 9 minutes ago, Mike Graham said: No. They have now upped it to £18.75 for the majority of games. It is also not available for a few games such as PNE. Match-by-Match Pricing: GOLD (Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Sheffield United, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion, Coventry City) Silver (Swansea City, Stoke City, QPR, Oxford United, Watford, Hull City, Bristol City, Portsmouth) £18.75 £15 So an aproximately 20% rise from last season, for most of the Saturday games. Yes however the price of pies and gravy granules have gone through the roof. The point is that the club were lying when they referred to £15 as that is only for 8 games. Quote

A space that feels even more connected to the club.....didn't they get rid of all the Rovers things on the walls in there? A bit like the murals on the corners of the JW and Darwen End. Could never get my head around them doing that. Quote
JHRover Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Not available for the Preston game. Ok makes some sense. Nor for the Leicester, Derby, Birmingham or Wrexham matches. For those presumably the 'pie and peas' will be getting dropped again in favour of a cash grab hoping to rinse the tourists/expected big away followings/anniversary 'bumper crowd' Quote

"Economical with the truth" maybe? I think it's a lot worse that they're dressing up this latest and frankly quite pathetic round of costcutting as an attempt to look after the fans and provide "great value" when I assume the reality is: 2024/25 Blues Membership fee £X p.a. Sky Sports available 2025/26 Blues Membership fee STILL £Xp.a. but no Sky Sports "Great value" indeed. Quote
StHelensRover Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Have we got rid of Sky Sports around the ground, everywhere except Jack's kitchen? Or is it still on the concourses, etc? I usually arrive at the ground about 15 mins before kickoff and go up to my seat, so I haven't really watched the TVs in there for a while, so I hadn't noticed if there had been a change. It is appalling though if they have canned it, I don't watch but thousands of others do. Like many have pointed out already, how tinpot is it for a Championship football club not to have the main sports channels at the ground? Quote

I am minded to slip a Fire Stick in the Blues TV feed and see if the Club notices. Surely its the premises as a whole. Hell it should be free seeing g as they provide the entertainment that goes on sky Quote

Why do people fall for this shite. All they will do in the longer term is reduce their trade even more as people elect to go in or stay the boozers instead. The Labour party have more brains than this lot and the bar is as low as it can get there. A lot of similarities between the two there as both are what they claim to be in name only. 1 Quote
arbitro Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I have been told that they are struggling to get catering staff and new stewards because they are charging them £15 to use the car parks. If that is true then the majority of them will be working for free for the first hour and a quarter. As an aside I haven't seen the concourse where we sit as quiet as it was on Saturday. There were very few people on there at 2.40 when we got on and there was nobody in the queue for food. 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Temp staff, often youngsters doing a Saturday job… and they are being charged £15 to park on their workplace carpark?! Cheers, Tony, new day, new snippet of farce emanating from the regime. Edited 4 hours ago by Mattyblue 3 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I thought it was already denied that matchday staff were going to be charged to park ? Another lie ? I mean. a football club bar for its own season ticket holders and people charged to go then not being about to watch Skysports is probably par for the course with the stupidity we've seen here down the years. Expecting people turning up to work a few hours to then have to pay to park is pushing it even for these pathetic clowns. I hope the concourse franchise dump the club, leave them high and dry i doubt they make much for the Ewood gig anyway. Edited 4 hours ago by Tomphil2 Quote
RoversClitheroe Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Anyone able to say why the Lancashire Telegraph aren't posting an article about Glens minutes? I'm honestly thinking the LT just needs to be boycott, today's article is about Tavares. It's just the Rovers propaganda newspaper 1 Quote

There will be bigger things to cover in the future than some minutes in a FF. He certainly gives good airtime to the supporters concerns and he's a decent guy. Its finding the balance so he dont get totally shut out by club, so fully understand the dilemma somethings can create. 2 Quote

Any new staff will have to pay is the information I was given. 3 Quote

I wonder if the plethora of new players have to pay to park at Ewood on match days. Normally I would out a smiley thing against something that sounds so bizarre but thinking about it it's a serious question. 5 Quote

Not that it will make any difference to Sodexho and Rovers whose head in the sand attitude will prevail. I bought a dozen 500ml bottles of water from Lidl last week for £1.89. 1 Quote

I can't believe casual staff are expected to pay £15 for parking. What's the point working there for next to nowt? Wonder if we'll at some point this season be the first League Club in the Country not to offer any food or refreshments in the concourse and /or Struggle to fulfill any fixtures due to a lack of stewarding. I wouldn't be surprised given the direction the Club is heading in. Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Following the withdrawal of our food suppliers due to technical issues ...(Parking Charges) 'We want to create a concourse where fans feel more connected so we are putting up some Rovers pictures and providing microwaves and hot water so you can heat your own pies and make your own brews' Footnote: There will be a £5 per match service charge for this, consider joining Jacks Kitchen instead where we'll still give you pie and peas for £15 !
