Ricceh Posted July 1 Posted July 1 I bet VI is going to try and get ball playing defenders and we'll concede a million just like JDT times. Hyam back passes are back on the menu. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Weimann also announced by Derby. 2 down, 1 to go for them.Β Quote
Tomphil2 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Well i think the aim this season will be to develop Carter into a saleable asset whilst Hyam sees out his contract and walks for nothing. Back to square 1 next summer. 3 Quote

rossyste Posted July 1 Posted July 1 50 minutes ago, arbitro said: So some of the ITK's were wrong about Batth by saying the stumbling block was the length of the deal. It wasn't - clearly it is down to wages and it is so disappointing when, after seeing his worth to the team last season that we can't pay more than Derby. Our loss is Derby's gain. And anyone who argues otherwise is a complete fool. 1 Quote
TheRevAshton Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Kaminski announced at Charlton. Rothwell to Rangers imminent... Is it "sign an ex Rovers player" day?Β π 2 Quote

Forever Blue Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Did we actually offer Batth and Weimann contracts? Or were they deemed too old?Β Β IIRC Eustace had to put up a fight to sign them in first place because of their age. I donβt think they fit the βmodelβ cos thereβs no sell-on valueβ¦.not hat we offer contracts to players with a sell on value either mind. Basically we donβt offer contracts! Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted July 1 Posted July 1 That snake had the same players at his disposal in January, a top six position, and yet chose to leave us. Now he's coming back for the same players for a reunion. Not surprised if Dolan, Travis all end up there.Β 6 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Personally i don't think there were ever going to be offered anything although they did feature on the retained list but were still under contract at that point. At best it would be the same terms and that's fair enough but going off whats happened in the past they were probably offered less however the main point here is Eustace got those guys in. He played them and Rovers wouldn't even sign Batth the year before pulling the plug at the last min. So both guys have their loyalty to Eustace not the people who run Blackburn Rovers and that is understandable although hard to swallow. 1 Quote

rog of the rovers Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Genuine question.Β Our records on 'giving players another year' or 'not giving players another year' in the 30+ bracket. Andi Weimann and Danny Batth - to be determined, but doesn't look good at this stage. Adam Forshaw - to be determined Kyle McFadzean - should have just been a 1/2 season signing. Daniel Ayala - 25 games for Rovers in 22/23, wasn't retained, went to Rotherham United (relegated - 7 apps for The Millers) Stuart Downing - a season too far, should have just been the one year, 2 starts and 16 sub appearances in 2020/21, though COVID had a huge impact. 1 Quote
