I read Jansen's autobiography.Β  He was with his girlfriend and they decided to go out on a scooter but jansen refused to wear a helmet he said he doesn't have any memory of the accident.Β  He also said he was penciled in by sven to go to the world cup. Souness broke the news to him after a game.Β  He had his suit ready and everything then tord grip convinced sven to take an extra defender

I’ve read it also. And Keown never played ! Typical Sven.

They didn't ruin Duff.

He was a key player for them in two title winning seasons.

But watching him at Chelsea he lost that cavalier style. Mourinho was a positional coach. Bit like Maresca is at Chelsea now

I’m 41 years old and I’d happily have Bellamy over anyone, bar Shearer in my lifetime.

Shearer was the best striker I've ever. After that its a great whether its Mike Newell, Chris Sutton, Matt Jansen, Craig Bellamy, Benni McCarthy and Roque Santa Cruz

The debate isn’t about the player it’s about their rovers careerΒ

to have a player in your all time rovers team there has to be something to support that for what they have done for the club. Not by their name who or they were in the past or went on to be. Anything under a season doesn’t warrant thatΒ

You probably read the part where he was supposed to make his debut and he got gastroentis before the game. That didn't help

What about Andy Cole ? He was top class when he came at first.

Shearer was probably the second best striker in Europe in the 90s behind Ronaldo.Β  Despite 2 career threatening injuries r9 was on another planet.Β  If it wasn't for those injuries he would probably have been the best ever

There was the Andy Cole prior to Yorke arriving and then there was the Andy Cole after Yorke arrived.

Yorke ruined the harmony within the squad.Β  Read he and souness had a massive spat one day in trainingΒ

Seeing as there have no rumours recently, thought I'd start one.

Just read about Le Havre's financial problems and wonder if this guy is worth a cheeky punt as alternative to BaradjiΒ

Β

Totally agree, although the one after he arrived was still very decent! Unlike Yorke himself who was dire once he downed tools.

Easy to think that the partnership was a disaster for Rovers, but for a while it was great. Beating Spurs 4-0 at their place to get into Europe was an absolute delight.Β

Who was at that time ? Β  Batistuta Β ?

Maybe.

One of the best I have ever seen live, that's for sure and I have seen a few good ones.Β

The defensive midfielder situation is a strange one. I wonder if the Baradji deal happened whether Travis or Tronstad would then be sold...If we arnt selling either then I find it difficult that we'll be spending in that area.Β
Β

All in all I feel Travis will leave, if in that case then it's critical we spend to fill that gap.Β
