I'm not arsed what he's done at rangers. The lad clearly has ability, he's frustrated the whole fan base last year (agreed) but I'd still rather keep championship experience in the team than lose them - Then there's the question will we replace?

I think we would all rather keep him, because we want what's best for the on field side.

I think Cantwell could really step up this year.

Travis going would be a great shame.

@glen9mullanย is your assumption on the outgoings based on your view, or what you've heard?

They can both leave and can both easily be replaced (ability wise) The club won't do it though so why are we happy for them to go?ย

I find it interesting that Glen says that Leonard has been frozen out.

Seems a strange one to pick on, why?

You would think they would want him as the number one man up front with him being an academy product and cheap?

For what it's worth I dont think there will be many takers for Cantwell if any at the minute.

Let's not pretend though, ig they can bundle him out of the door to save a few quid they will.

Iโ€™m not pretending Iโ€™m fully aware of how the club is being run. That said the last page has been about cantwell leaving which is highly unlikely to happen this summer window given his wages his personality and stop start career of/when he goes itโ€™s more likely to be in Jan if heโ€™s performed well or next summerย

Heard, of course there needs to be someone who will take them, but if those suitors come in, there gone.

Because it is easier & cheaper to let them leave.ย  No "pesky" contract renewals (or the wage rises that will accompany that), & creates a "pathway" for our academy players

Makes you wonder if we are willing to sacrifice academy players why would tyjon be willing to stick around if he's going to be flogged in a couple of years to the Highest bidder

Ah,ย  sorry, I misunderstood.

In which case, I am not in favour of them leaving.ย  In an ideal world, I would like to see Travis etc tied up to proper contracts reflecting their worth

But given the current owners, that wont happen, so I would prefer to keep them, and have them leave on frees so Venkys lose more money

Absolutely.

I still chuckle/roll my eyes at "I would sell Travisnif we got x million".

Why?

Every so often, I see club X bidsย  ยฃYM for Rovers player Z, and for a split second, I think, that's a decent deal, we should take that, we could reinvest/buy/sign up W to a new contract....... but then my mind snaps back to our unfortunate reality

I meant he told Rangersย  he wanted to leave and that was that...not saying it is 100% the case and I already said the board would be happy to get his wages off the books but if he has asked to leave and is acting up like he did at both Norwich and Rangers then he would have to be moved on regardless of his ability...you don't want a sulking and not motivated Cantwell around the placeย

Neither Leonard nor Cantwell strike me as being Ismael type players, i.e. big strong powerful athletes.

I'd really like Leonard to make it, he has a lot of ability imo but he's 21 now and there's only so long you can give him before you say it's not going to work.

I agree though, for financial reasons alone you'd have thought the Club would be eager to give him the chance to impress

I cant emphasise how bad it is at the training ground in particular.

Contrary to popular belief Gestede is the most hated man there, even more than Suhail.

Long serving employees 10, 15, 20, 25 plus are exiting left right and centre and he's the route cause.

One employee, I talk to weekly who is pre-venkys stated its the worse its been at any point in his Rovers career.

We've got s ship people want off, and no amount of PR is going to mask it.

People are willing to talk and some maybe about to on record too. I cant say much more.

Nowadays I avoid transfer stuff as its not worth hassle, but the clock is ticking on things the ciub wont want public!!!!

As you know I wont put anything in written format until I have in my possession bullet proof docs to back it up or know it to be true as its horses mouth and can't be disputedย

ย

Right behind you Glen, we all know it isnโ€™t going away until Pasha / Gestede are removed and ultimately, the Venkys flag is lowered from Ewood / Brockhall. Only then, will we have any chance of reclaiming our club and the birth right of being able follow a normal football club. Heading to the Hawthorns but this post has already put a dampener on the day.

Have I missed something- Cantwell is off now as well as; Travis, Trondstadt??

Nothing concrete as yet, people speculating given the contract situations of the last two and the fact Cantwell has been described as "fit" but "not ready" and left out of today's squad.

My own view is we haven't signed Tavares and Henriksson and been strongly linked with Baradji for them to sit on the bench.

Seems daft to be discussing Cantwell leaving at such length when there aren't even any rumours about bidders or him wanting out.

I'll make my own mind up as I watch them play . Why all this would come out on the eve of the season makes me more than sceptical.ย

Someone on here, when he came in, said Ismael had a watching brief for the rest of the season. It struck a chord as someone who knew what he was on about.ย

Let's see how they go.ย

I dont get why people seem so desperate to get rid of Cantwell.

I appreciate that he didnt have the best season but hes clearly better than what he showed and is our only player with a bit of flair.

I also dont buy the theory that he "isnt an Ismael player." He regularly played him last season and contrary to popular belief, he does work hard.

If our plan is to shed all of these proven Championship players and Gestede will just continue to play football manager without appreciating the need for Championship experience. We soon will be in League 1.

I see Big Val confirmed that the cb signing isnโ€™t needed because Miller covers RB and RCBโ€ฆwas obvious when we signed him and why I suggested.

Also, gutted I didnโ€™t say it but when I saw Cantwell was not playing this weekend it confirmed what Iโ€™ve been thinking, which is that heโ€™s not gonna last.

Other than the obvious exits (Buckley, Garrett etc) which I donโ€™t expect to be replaced, I reckon Trav, Cantwell and Pears will also go, and be replaced, on top of the RAM. So, I reckon 4x more signings!

Iย

But Miller is likely to be our first choice right back. So if hes needed to cover centre back, then thats 2 changes in 1.

I dont like when we try and cover 2 vacancies with 1 player. Versatility shouldnt mean signing less players. You cant play 2 positions at the same time.

So would probably I do as well if I feel completely out of the pecking order and didnโ€™t feel valued but struggled to see my own efforts and stupidity.ย
ย

This happens everywhere in all jobs, especially with new ownership and change in management. spouting this things is extremely disloyal and unprofessionalย

Seriously the things ive heard from the lips of those affected is nothing short of bullying, we aint talking one person,ย  we are talking many .

We had this during the Kean days, employees reaching out to the protest movement to get us to get word to India.

This codswallop the fans anger affects the players is blinkered spin, many are behind what the fans are doingย

On the back of the infamous players meeting stitch up with fans, these players started following interactiing on my social media (Sam Gallagher) for example, as he's gone, it's safe to mention.

Now no one sees the likes on your post on x, staff are liking our post!!!

We are not alone in this battle, we need to keep going , without you guys we cannot win this war

The trouble is Glen it's all just whispers until something is done about it. Like any workplace, if there's endemic bullying taking place then it should be escalated through the appropriate channels.

Football clubs aren't special cases. They're employers like every other company.
