The ones in the box come in 4 sizes, is that 125 of each size? 500 of each size? Made to order (cant see that)?

The advert states only 500 in total, so interested how this stacks. Obviously the intention is you don't wear it i guess as 3XL not an option lol.

Now for the extra £120.

You get a label tag

A box, (please tell me its not cardboard or similar)

Is the material better or badge sewn/embroidered, or is it the same shirt and £115 of the £120 is its personally folded by Suhail?

Struggling to understand the big price jump if its the same product but with s tag

Literally seems to be for an individually numbered shirt and box. But as you say, it's difficult to justify the price point for those alone.

It'll get even more embarrassing if/when the shirts are discounted. Wouldn't be surprised if they are 'prizes' in the Rovers Return draw or for people who buy a ST next season.

Or people collect Rovers memorabilia?

Or people who buy the shirt and get it all signed by players then picture frame it?

Each to their own, different people get players pictures in frames and get that player to sign it.

Its 150th anniversary shirt and to get players to get signed it then framed it will mean alot to some people not all

So to celebrate the 151st year of the club the team will be playing in PNE colours.

Ok then.

I'm guessing this is their half arsed last minute attempt to tackle the boycott.

If anything it's another reason to boycott.

I see that season ticket holders are already complaining that they can't buy the shirt because the computer system doesn't recognise them as season ticket holders.

Sums up Rovers under Venkys to a t

Now that they've decided to actually wear the shirt in a match (albeit technically in the wrong year), I can understand why some fans might want the shirt as it will ultimately become a part of the club history for better or worse.

It was such simple and low hanging fruit to just go with the first iteration of blue and white quarters, as pictured below, given that there is no clear photographic evidence that Rovers ever wore a plain white with maltese cross jersey. It sums up the ownership to get this so wrong.

I think I’d rather shit in my hands and clap.

Thanks had not seen that post, but did discover the following on the kit history website:

"This account of the club's first colours is contradicted by an account found in the Blackburn Standard, January 6 1894, discovered by Kjell Hanssen, which states: The club was founded in December 1874 at the St Leger Hotel, in King William street as “The Rovers Football Club, Blackburn.” Mr Thomas Greenwood was elected captain, Walter Duckworth secretary, and Johnny Lewis treasurer. The dress decided upon at that time was navy blue and white quartered jersey, white knickers, and navy blue hose."

Respectfully, and regardless - if you were in charge of the design of the 150th anniversary shirt, would you go with the clubs supposed first ever shirt that's never actually been seen in any photograph, or the club's iconic shirt design that has lasted since the 1800s?

They are obsessed with the Maltese Cross. Fine, a compromise should’ve been our iconic blue and white with the cross, not 80 to 200 quid for that.

Yes I would have gone Blue and White shirt for our anniversary season. Someone mentioned a gold club badge or 150th club badge on here and I would have supported that. Also playing in it all season aswell would have more appealing aswell.

I wonder if they are charging the players £200 for each one?

And £15 on top to print their name and number.

We have gone over this numerous times with many of us providing written evidence that the Club's first colours were indeed our famous blue n White quatered Shirt.

There is no mention of this all White abomination in any Historical Club History Book and that includes the Club's new 150th publication.

PNE Rovers on New Years Day...how f'kin embarrassing.

It just gets worse and worse.

Hopefully, they are left with a batch of unsold anniversary shirts, as the fans decide not to buy any, due to the incorrect version being produced and the manner in which it has been marketed.
