i though val might have rested travis,hyam and sonny and brought them on in the 2nd half,it`s clear that we need another 3 players minimum to fill out the squad and thats in the hope we keep our key players

Just highlights what little depth we have behind them, especially in CM.

Does anyone find the approach strange of always going with our strongest team in friendlies?

It is clear what his favoured team is beside maybe left centre back. But usually especially in a double header 3 days apart, you would expect 22 different starters.

I wonder if other games behind closed doors are being arranged because otherwise, the second 11 will be surely undercooked. The likes of Kargbo, Gueye, Pickering etc.

if we go into the season without some more recruits then it`ll be worrying,everyone else is strenghtening,apart from us it seems,you can bet clubs will be testing our resolve for travis and sonny when the deadline starts looming and with brittain probably gone it`s not going to be a happy season

He changed a big portion of the team at half time against Qatar SC.

DeNeve is incredibly disciplined - Travis went forward and he dropped back in to cover his CM role. You don't see many players that aware at this level.

A backup GK that's not Pears or Michalski but I don't see who that could be in the squad list.

Wharton been caught on the ball twice now.  I thought our game was all about the press - it's non existent and Yuki can't hold the ball.  Elche well on top. Much better test this.  Will highlight the weaknesses.

They're desperate for us to press - their GK has his foot on the ball 30 yards out from goal.

Cantwell must just have one of those personalities.

There's no way Elche know who he is, but they've been kicking him off the pitch in the first 20 minutes. 

Also that's poor refereeing - booking Ribeiro for moving the Elche player from standing over a prone Cantwell (that he'd just hacked down).
