Hedges being catapulted from "should be sold/released" to "first name on the team sheet", tells you everything you need to know about this summers business.

I think with the massive turnover we need to try and keep the experienced players on the pitch.

Carter should be back, and is Ohashi injured - why on earth would you drop him? Hes been one of our better players.

                               Toth

Alebiouso.     Carter.    Wharton.    Riberio

                    Tronstad.     Cantwell

       Kargbo.           Morishita.     Hedges

                               Ohashi

Subs :  Pears? Miller, Pickering,  Taylor,  Montgomery, Tavares, Henrickson, Gudjonsen, Gueye

Its a bit ironic given the stated goals that we are so weak at cm and cb but we've signed so many forwards/number 10s it's hard to fit Tyjon in the 20.

Im pinning my hopes on footballs (particularly the Championship)) great way of surprising you 30% of the time. Maybe it will for no explicable reason just work?

Personal hope that Gudjohnson can fire us up the table

Agree there's no reason to drop Ohashi, but equally I think they should start Gudjohnsen as something has to change in attack.

Perhaps shift Morishita out wide for Kargbo, and then put Ohashi behind Gudjohnsen?

Yeah, maybe. Kargbo had a bad game last time out but he gets in the right positions. Think we need to perceivere with him a bit, especially if we are playing on the break. Not sure how quick Gujonsen is.

Kargbo shouldn't be starting games for me.

He's only useful to bring on if we're a goal up and leave him on the half way line as an outlet.

I hope so too, but looking at his results there’s nothing to base this hope on

He won't.

As a rule we don't sign better players than what we already have, so I expect an output that is less than Ohashi and Gueye.

I like Ohashi and he's done ok, nothing amazing I wouldn't say. I think he struggles to lead the line in general and our attack is quite poor overall.

No reason not to try something different.

He's young, scoring at international level, just needs somewhere to bed in and shine

Can he honestly be worse than Gueye?

Usually I would say no, but at venkys rovers just when you think you have seen the worst, something surpasses it.

None of us expected to be within sniffing distance of the playoffs last season lol we shall see I'm hopeful he can do us a trick or two

i feel we need 2 strikers. And I’ve heard miller players best with a back 3. If Wharton or Carter are not ready then put Ribeiro in the end CB position with Hedges being a wingback.

Pickering can also play as a left sided CB, and Morishita as a LWB.

I like this system in the sense that it gives Ohashi a strike partner, which feels needed...but I'd be surprised if Ismael made such a big system change.

I feel it could be our strongest formation. As we don’t have anyone good on the wing who can set up crosses otherwise I wouldn’t mind Gueye at top. When Brittain was here that WBA was crying for a Gueye to start as Britain’s crosses were on par.

I feel with the latter's injury record Miller & Carter are going to be a rare sight...
