Just got in, was a real feeling of the fans wanting to get behind the lads and getting their message across to the regime. A good balance, I was up in JW and stood up "if I hate venkys" quite a few more than usual stood up but you could see people staring around.

GET UP OFF YOUR FEET IF YOU KNOW IT

It was getting hairy behind me in the JW Upper with a few ‘fans’ taunting those chanting “Venkys Out” by shouting “where the fuck would we be without the Venkys funding us, you are just a bunch of muppets, Venkys Out fucking muppets” etc etc etc. “get behind the team”.

Rather unpleasant.  It was very close to getting violent.

You're kidding me right? I'm in W11w row bout 4-5 rows from the top and didn't hear any. Pretty glad tbh idiots.

Surely paying my money is to watch and support the team why else would anyone be sat there. The get behind the lads is such a dumb argument it's literally the reason we go in the first place

It seems like a lifetime ago that I walked away from Ewood with that feeling you only get from winning. But in all honesty I just couldn't see a win coming after we went behind albeit I thought we were unfortunate to go in one down at half time. We had enough chances to at least be level at the break but the game at that point was like so many this season when we perhaps should have got more.

As the second half wore on and we were still missing good chances (for balance Southampton missed a few too) I had pretty much resigned myself to a defeat. And that feeling got worse when Ismael made his triple change as I just couldn't see how the players coming on were going to impact the game.

De Neve was arguably our best player but Tronstad and Morishita were a long way off the pace but I just thought Hedges and Montgomery wouldn't improve us. I was wrong. The driving run from Montgomery seemed to get us going and he played some smart, forward passes. Hedges got up and down the line and Henrikson started to run forwards from midfield. But I still doubted whether we'd get anything out of the game and I would certainly have taken a draw at that point.

Alebiosu, despite falling a touch below the high standard he has set got us back in with a goal which I thought was a cross. Who cares. We grasped the nettle and went for it in a manner I haven't seen for a while. The winner again probably had a touch of fortune about it but again, who cares.

After he scored Gudjohnsen was like a man possessed. Just before he scored my friend said 'he needs a goal' and hopefully now he has that monkey off his back he will get more.

In truth today's game could have finished 5-5 but again, who cares.

The downside for me today was the number of easy chances we missed but that's for another day.

Enjoy the win.

So all the Lancashire Telegraph article commenters sit together at back of the Jack Walker? They probably get free hospitality or something.

He won't be missed

Agreed. It’s like we’re playing with 10 men when comes on or starts anyways. We have morishita who can play anywhere basically as long as he can finish my god idk how he missed that chance the clown.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's the last we see of Kargbo.

"Augustus Kargbo has today joined Serie F side Vatican Wanderers for an undisclosed fee."

The fanbase need a united front - no other club of comparable size would tolerate this ownership.

The "Get Behind the Lads" brigade have a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome! The lads they want to back are being exploited by the regime, hung out to dry as part of a poorly composed squad. The lads take the flack for the Venkys' failings!

They're "backing" and abetting this exploitation of genuine, hardworking young footballers!

100% agree with your summary mate.

Montys surging running was well read clearly was watching what we needed on the bench. Good individual push that paid off.

De Neve looks like a different player or atleast a better player of his early showings actually really happy for him and can beat players.

I'm just so glad we have Toth in goal

No other club would have survived these owners - they're untouchable.
