But let's have it your way, and let's say we had 31 points at this stage. That would mean the 'Ismael and Rudy transition' has taken us from 5th to 15th. 

And take league position out of the equation, and focus on the players brought in, and it's no better.

The horrible signings list includes: De Neve, Tavares, TGH, Henriksson

The (barely) average would be Morishita, McLoughlin, Miller

And the good: Alebiosu and Gudjohnsen. 

Baradji? Who knows.

If we were a sensible team who would actually develop him etc, then go for it, but he doesn't fit in the system we play just now, and I would rather we spent our "budget" (lol imagine having a transfer budget) on an actual Striker, not another winger we can't play.

In this formation you need size and speed - ideally both. 

I wouldn't be signing any CF under 6'. They need to be able to run the channels, hold the ball up and put the ball in the back of the net. Unless this Reyes lad is Bellamy quick I don't see the point in the signing.

We also desperately need a LWB - Hedges offers nothing going forward. What I'd give for Giles whipping balls into the box.

I expect we'll be sadly disappointed on the striker front.

Half decent ones cost money which is why we consistently neglect the forward positions and bring in cheap squad fillers in other positions instead.

Loads of players flop or fail to live up to expectations that’s not the debate here. Tronstad is the player in question and Iv no doubt in my mind you are in the small minority in your thinking of his standard. I even get the impression your just sticking to your initial thoughts because you don’t like being wrong

That is worrying the lad looks miles off it and I’m all for giving players time but he just hasn’t shown enough to make me think he can offer something in there

I think it was this that I remembered.

Suppose a lot of these words and phrases are interchangeable, mentions the defence enjoying him and calls him an enforcer but also that he is box to box.

He obviously has not played as the deepest lying midfielder for us, but whether he can offer a goal threat, we will see.

I dont think I would particularly like to see him playing deeper considering how he gave up at one point in the first half last night when running back.
