It’s definitely going to happen over the next 3 weeks, but on what date will Gestede claim:

”Lewis Miller was always intended to be a right wing back”

Technically no rush, players can be registered and deregistered at will whilst the window is open

Not to say that we don't need to lose a few by the end of the month

Imagine we’ll de-register Hedges given he likely won’t be fit

Struggling to follow

We've signed a 6ft centre back who can't get into big club's starting eleven, likely guaranteed him playing time before the only part of the pitch we seem to have ready and capable youngsters, and in doing so have reached the squad registration limits?

Let's hope Brighton's scouts are on it, and they've noticed he's a 20 goal a year championship striker too

It's mental considering the players that have worn those shirts....

Had this conversation the other day with a mate of mine it went like this...

"Do you ever look at a player and think... that's not your number?"

I said like what

#9 Gueye #9 Shearer ?

And we both winced at the thought lol but yeah, those that have pulled on their respective numbers across the decades..

Forgotten man Jake Garrett coming back to fitness too. He looked good under JDT but his career has dropped off a cliff since. Still prefer him to Tavares.

I'd prefer an under 15 academy prospect to Tavares personally

A permanent right footed with a bit of experience centre back signing would have made sense but Pratt has done well and I liked the look of Atcheson on Sunday

Cashin looks a pointless signing (im not calling him a shit player)but  we have a lot of other positions that need addressing

Eh? You don't think CB is a priority? With our injury ]list?

Quite  agree that were have other problems elsewhere.

This is a bit of a problem. We need to ditch somebody just to play the lad we already brought in. Obviously we will look to sell Gueye, but we need a new striker. So we need to ditch someone now, and we also need to ditch someone for everybody we bring in, even though some will only be loans.

O'Riordan can't go back on loan unless it's back to Donny. I imagine Forshaw will be the one making way for Cashin to be able to play, even though they're not the same position and may give us a depth problem at CM. Either that or Pratt will be sent on loan, which I'm not really keen to see.

Of course we have plenty of players we'd like to see the back of, including ones we only signed in the summer, but who wants them?

As has previously been mentioned, pretty easy decision to deregister Hedges for now as he is out for 2-4 moths, followed by anymore who is not due back until the end of this month or the beginning of next

We have McCloughlin, Pratt, Atcheson, Miller, Pickering fit who have all played at CB sometime or other. One way of alleviating any issues back there would be to not play 5 at the back every single game no matter the opponent.

However, if we are determined to keep the current formation we currently have one striker to cover 2 positions if you're going to refuse to play Tyjon and Gueye, and we arguably don't have a single player capable of playing either wing back position effectively with Hedges and Alebiosu absent.

Now, if we pull in a couple of strikers and a wing back in before the Hull game I'll concede it's a redundant argument, but as others have pointed out we need to ship 4 or 5 players with likely few suitors out the door before we can do that without likely overloading our player budgets.

Depends how long he is out for.

As players can be registered and deregistered at will whilst the window is open, its the obvious first choice

Pretty sure Wharton, Carter, Forshaw, Tavares, Kargbo are all out for most if not all of January, so they will be the next ones unless sales (Gueye) are made
