He is contracted until 2028 isn't he? the years option would take it to 29.How is that less than 2 years?

If Everton and other clubs are apparently looking at him after 'just" 20 games how It inconceivable that he could be a 10 mill player?

Decent age,  English born ,just broke into his national squad

It’s an option at the time of writing so technically until activated it’s only an option but even at that it’s irrelevant as we need the cash

what if we get relegated how much would he go for or do you think na venkys will hold out?

What if he gets injured again or is terrible on his return?

so many variable but I don’t agree at all I think 4mill gets it done especially something I doubt your factoring in is if the player says yes I want to go play premier league

Dare I say Jorgenson looks to have more of an eye for goal, looks like a decent threat

Yeah, I meant in terms of pedigree. Jørgensen was a big signing that ‘failed’ at Bodø/Glimt but he hasn’t been there long and usually it takes time for new signings to get going there. I’m a bit surprised they’re letting him leave so soon tbh, but guessing he’s let them know he wants to go when he heard of Rovers’ interest in him.

I watched his debut for Nigeria. He didn’t look out of place in a top class team. Then he got the mystery cut to his leg.

Yeah and the Nigerians best player and star striker was very complimentary of him.

Its Rovers so we obviously couldn't totally rule it out but I don't think they would entertain an offer of 4 million at this early stage of his rovers career

If Mercer could follow this up with being correct on the ownership bid then I’d be very happy!

If mercer is correct about the club bid I'll give him the clap

£4 million is peanuts for Premier League players. What was the combined value of the two full backs Leicester had when we beat them = £35 million was it ? Our guy is better than both of them.

We have just signed a player for £3 million.

The option Is in the clubs favour so in effect we have him under contract  until 29

Will leave it here but I 99% sure we wouldn't sell him now for 4 million

Two decent signings in one day. The reported £3.5m on our new striker must be the most we've paid for a player for several years.

Cashin and these two means we've had a much better Jan window so far than we usually do. Another striker and a midfielder to come? I'd certainly take Ryan Hardie.

And well done to Mercer who got it absolutely spot on with his info yesterday.

Has Donnun been starting for Toulouse?

If so makes no sense for them to be loaning him out. They paid 4.5 million for him 24/25

His wife who's on the books for United had just given birth to their first baby last month...

Yeah but why would his wife being pregnant mean Tolouse would loan him out? He has been starting hasn't he

I could see why the player might be open to a loan move to be nearer his wife but why would his club?

Well happy with this. His last match was away at Dortmund in the CL. Bodø Glimt faces man city on Tuesday.

Here is the farewell story from the Glimt website (google translate, I’m in a hurry):

JØRGENSEN LEAVES BODØ/GLIMT: "HAD A GREAT TIME" About six months after Mathias Jørgensen came to Bodø and Glimt, he is now moving forward in his career. The next stop for the Danish winger is Championship club Blackburn Rovers. "It's really exciting. A club rich in tradition. It's a dream to play in English football. I don't know if I feel quite like myself right now, because there are a lot of impressions here," he says on the phone from his new hometown. The 25-year-old was brought to Glimt from Danish Aalborg in the summer of 2025, and has played 15 games for Bodø/Glimt during his time in Bodø. Jørgensen has scored five goals, including in the Champions League play-off match against Sturm Graz in Klagenfurt this summer. There are two things I would like to highlight as my highlights in Glimt. The first thing is to be with all the good people who are in the club and in the city. From a sporting point of view, you might think that playing in the Champion League has been the biggest thing, he says and continues;

"But I think when we played our way into the Champions League in Austria is the biggest moment. It was great to see how much it meant to everyone in and around the club to play in there. His last significant game for Bodø/Glimt was the 2-2 draw in Dortmund on 10 December. Jørgensen brings a silver medal from the Eliteserien and a Champions League adventure in his luggage over to the ball island. "I've had a great time in Bodø. It has gone fast. I've enjoyed every single second. Both sportingly and the people I have met. They have become people I have become very, very fond of. "I leave Bodø as a much, much, much better player. Being able to train with such a good team and such good players has meant that this opportunity has now come. It's for sure that I've become a better player. FK Bodø/Glimt would like to thank Mathias Jørgensen for all contributions to the club and wish him the best of luck in his career at Blackburn.

The only reason the option doesn't get taken up is if his form dips hugely or he becomes injury-ridden. For the purposes of a transfer, it is an extra year on his deal, giving us better bargaining power for a big money sale.

This looks like a potentially decent signing but I do find it bemusing that this '£3 million' figure is now being thrown around as fact when there's very little to go off other than one man's tweet that said the deal 'could rise' to £3 million.

That's presumably with all sorts of add ons and bonuses triggered down the line, not cash up front. Yet of course the Venky defenders are out in force saying this is evidence of their backing and benevolence, of course overlooking this pretty much makes up for the Hyam fee they trousered on deadline day in the summer.

Correct still doesn’t change my view I think a 4million bid from a prem team gets its done

hope no bid is put in I like him and it’s clear without him we aren’t the same going forward  but the prem pull is big too big to not have your head turned considering we’re fighting relegation to league 1

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Jorgensen requires an ESC slot as he only has 10 points. I think that takes our last slot.

Donnum, on the other hand, easily qualifies for a permit with 26 points.

It’s still a step in the right direction regardless

Bodo paid 3.5 million euro for him a year ago ,surely they wouldn't be taking that much of a loss on him so it will be around that figure

I don't think Donnum is confirmed yet.
