It’s still a step in the right direction regardless

Yeah, I'd say another 3-4 minimum needed in the next week or two, including some of Ismael's requested experience and then we can say a good window.

Tell you who will be happy Henriksson. No more getting flogged out of position

I feel l8ke henriksson just needs a goal or something to ingnite his confidence, feel there's an effective player in there. But like most thexsquad he's probably hampered by having a poor arse manager

Hopefully Jorgensen really give our poor attack a major boost. Good to see us spend reasonable money on a player on a long term deal. Also, it seems like he might bring some speed to our attack which is crucial so I am looking forward to seeing him.

Hard to know what to make of his career or how exactly he will fit in. Hasn't been prolific even in the lower leagues in Denmark but he seems to have played much of his football as a winger so its hard to judge him on that. Question is, will he slot straight into a front 2 and be at his most comfortable?

We also have some recent very bad experiences with signing players from inferior foreign leagues who have failed to step up. That being said, often the demand of "Championship experience" is used but especially up front on our budget, if you prioritise that you are getting the dregs. Its a position in particular that you are probably better off looking for value elsewhere so hopefully we have found it.

Will he be ready to be involved straight away? We need him to hit the ground running but I think due to the different seasons in Scandanavia, he won't be match fit and there may be red tape.

Also, is Donnum happening aswell as or is it a mix up from Jackson? There is a player with big question marks about how he fits in positionally, but one performing at a high level in a strong league.

Potentially no more getting on the pitch either...

Even if it was out of position, that game time might just do him a big favour.

I haven't given up on him just yet, it's been a poor start but there does seem something about him .

He will be ok in midfield with time, not his fault Val put him up front

Now get Cleary….

Cleary is going to be bought by a team like Fulham and then loaned out for two years on the trot.

Is it just the cynic in me that thinks that these wouldn't be happening if there wasn't a boycott next week?

100 percent.

The only way Pasha can dig himself/venkys out of a pitch size hole is splashing the cash.  No other promises/platitudes etc would flip the current narrative.

Perhaps, if as rumoured, he has been in India for a while, it has been to loosen the purse strings.

A good window with 3 or 4 expensive signings before the Watford game,  confirm the Baradji signing and a promise at the end of the window that the owners will fund the pitch improvement without it affecting transfers.

Then claim this was always the plan.

Job done, pressure lifted.

Then recoup the money by selling Alebiosu in summer and not doing the pitch properly.

I don’t think we will get the satisfactory window as what fans want and can see the team needs doesn’t match what Rudy and co sees

agreed with above but I think one more forward likely loan deal will be our lot

The biggest news for me tonight is Mercer has absolutely nailed this one.

If he's right about someone enquiring about buying the club then that is GOLD.

I don't think Donnum is confirmed yet.

That's true. It was an LT exclusive that he was in the building today so hopefully that turns out to be true and gets announced tomorrow.

Which thread can we read that in? It's been confirmed by others over the years, including Alan Myers, that there's been interest in buying the club. However, Venky's have never been interested in selling. Unless thats changed, it doesnt really matter if there are interested parties or not.

Has Jackson Said anything since? Maybe he just got the wrong player

Nothing since. And Nicko has said he's not heard that name so perhaps Jackson has got it wrong 🤔 Strange to announce it as an exclusive unless you're 100% sure.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Jorgensen requires an ESC slot as he only has 10 points. I think that takes our last slot.

Donnum, on the other hand, easily qualifies for a permit with 26 points.

If my calculations are right we should have 1 left as Kargbo would now be non ESC.

In the LT article about Jorgensen bottom paragraph confirms again a deal is close for donnum so he hasn’t mistaken the players it seems

To be fair, Mercer didnt name the player. He just said that a striker is signing.

It turned out for a change to be true so fair play but I am not sure saying an unnamed player will sign is a huge scoop. Nor was the skepticism unwarranted considering the track record in question.

As long as we file the paperwork. Not our strong point as a club.

Also, he only signed on 31st January. So wouldn't that be the earliest we could convert him? And how long does it take for the paperwork to settle?

Apologies if I've asked this before.
