Baradji isn't about his quality, it's all about proving his fitness. Don't see the rush in that one myself, the deal is in place so no worries. TGH I hope we find better. Decent squad player on a free, but shouldn't be a starter.

I hope we can offer Tronstad a new deal, he's vital to this team and should be for another two or three seasons.

I imagine the next signing, if there is one will be a young prem loan.

Dønnum or Cleary + Hardie on loan would be pretty good business.

If the paperwork was wrong we’d already know because the EFL would’ve rejected it in the summer.

snap

It was said a little tongue in cheek and i expect him to sign but there is always that niggle in my head when it comes to modern day Rovers

Strange that the club are throwing out a big fee in the media for an incoming transfer when we generally hear it's undisclosed for outgoing ones.

Have a feeling there's a fair bit of embellishment going on here to suggest ambition and to quell the unrest ahead of the boycott.

On the flip side it's a blessed relief to see an attacking player through the door, just hope he's decent.

the big fee quote seems to have originated in Norways press

Bodo Glimt paid about €3M for him 6 months ago, (although its likely that fee is also after add ons etc).  so a fee that "could reach" €3.5M means they can claim a victory

Perhaps AaB were due some instalments when Glimt face City in the CL, who knows. Could be a total package of €3.5m, but I can't see us pay too much at first.

Everyone's waiting for Elliott to wake up and follow up on the Dønnum news. That transfer doesn't make too much sense at the moment, considering there's a world cup coming up and he's playing regularly (and well) for Toulouse.

Yes it never really made sense a regular starter in the French top division with a team who has played in Europe, capped for Norway multiple times and with a World Cup coming up…..to join a relegation fight in the championship? Doesn’t make any sense to me from the players behalf

especially considering that whilst he has played as a wing back a few times, and is versatile.  He is in fact a winger, and we do not play with those

Jorgensen is a top player at this level. Brentford did well and had great success with Danish players..hope he do well for us.. Rovers have done well to keep this under wraps.

Im in no way trying to dig you out here.. but have you seen him play ? I am on the cautious side as i no nothing about him, and my head feels like it will be another henrikson. But heres hoping it he will be good. At least someone is in the door.

Eboue Adams going to Pompey, very hot and cold player but hope it’s not one of those signings that just click and go on to bag a load of goals and drag them out of the battle

Yes to be fair, having read the rovers press release, it does say undisclosed so not really on them.

He can play as an inverted winger on the right and would work well with Alebiosu, helping him defend as well, but reportedly we chased Morishita in the summer for a good while and he plays on the right, so not sure where we would fit Dønnum into our team at this moment.

And the argument that his wife plays for Manchester United so he would want to move closer, doesn't make all that much sense either. I'm sure while pregnant that she'll spend more than enough time in France, even though she will probably still show up at United and do some work/training there to keep herself fit.

We'll see...

Surely a deflated fee would be more advantageous from the club's perspective? Less pressure on the player, and the club doesn't look as wasteful if he turns out to be a flop.

With Tronstadt and seemingly improved players around him we could see the Sondre of old. Need another quality MF in the door for sure we are lacking in the engine room

Defensive midfielder so doubt the goals fly in. Probably solid for a relegation battle

Can’t see it tbh 1 goal this season and 1 goal two seasons ago last season seemed a freak for him and even then 6 isn’t mind blowing but obviously could be vital goals wouldn’t be overly worried about his signing

Hes not the type to score a load of goals. An aggressive midfielder who wins the ball back but lacks the technical ability to do very well at this level.

Xtra also had an exclusive stating the deal was ‘done’ this is a slight backtrack stating the player was there…..

"Have agreed a deal"

I wouldn't say that's backtracking.

So Dønnum on the left or is he a replacement for Alebiosu? Trying to make sense of it all.

I think Donnum is left footed so I'd be looking to drop him in Lwb role to see how he does

He's not signing.

He lives in France so why would he be driving his own Lambo in the UK, has he driven over?

I will start by saying I cant see this signing happening, seems too much money, wrong position etc

But

If his pregnant wife plays for Man Utd, is it a stretch to think he may have a car in the UK as well as in France?  The fact he has a car here is probably the most believable thing about this
