  1. And I wouldn't want any of them near Ewood Park or Brockhall at all. Yesterday men now.. Plus like the fact you overlooked that we took 7 points of these 3 managers in 3 games so far. Including putting 5 goals pass Cardiff in an very impressive performance.. Also look at how Forest have improved since Steve Cooper gone there. 7 points from 3 goals I believe. Or Boro Fans chanting for Warnock to be sack at their last game. Plus look at what people are been through by not being to attend games at Ewood Park and what this pandemic has meant for people social life
  2. and you have the same concern several times which the Rovers players have proven they will and have step up to remove that concern.
  3. and each time you have these 'concerns' the players have step up and proven they can score goals we need. You need to have more self belief and faith in this squad of players. Armstrong and Brereton plus other players have step up to answered your concerns. I think the players will this game again to proven that they can and will step up when required
  4. No I don't think its a fair point cos you do the same thing everytime. When Dack got injured and Graham time here was coming to the end. I told you that Armstrong would step up and replace Dack and Graham goals and he did. You asked who would replace Armstrong's goals this season, I replied saying the entire team had to step up and scores goals including Brereton. Guess what the team has step up and players Brereton, Dolan and Gallagher have so far. Maybe its time you show some belief in our players stepping up and scoring. I would take a Coventry own goal 1 nil win. I'm not bothered how we win anymore after the last 18 months and the affects the pandemic caused. Nothing beats watching Rovers inside a stadium environment and I just can't back to watching club football again after another international football break and I'm sure they will. If Poveda hasn't had much of an impact by January I would end his loan spell and look for someone else who would have more of an impact. Will Poveda come off the bench against Coventry? no idea, depends on the game situation, injuries, fitness and performance.
  5. Well I was there also and watched the full game. He was Rovers best player from the starting 11. In the first half he was main player who was looking to start Rovers attack off. Second half he produced brilliant cross for Brereton goal and he was constant threat throughout the game.
  6. not asking him to play as a winger tho but as wide midfielder doing a similar job as he did against Blackpool second half and Barnsley away game. Nyambe can provided the width more down the right side.
  7. Same old negative comments just like you repeating all season where are the goals coming from and the players have shown you where the goals will come from. The team. I would take a solid 1 nil win with Lenihan or Ayala scoring a header from a set piece. I'm not interested who scores as long as we won the game or get a draw plus a good performance I picked my team on performances and how I want to play. I think we need to solid defensive and given that Coventry play 3 at the back and I think we should set up similar to the Barnsley game and second half against Blackpool. The loan players will have a part to play given we have 3 games in a week and Khadra or Burns would come on for Butterworth depending on the game situation. He is just coming back from injury setback so lets take it slow and not rush him back. And I believe he will be playing in the under 23 game that on the same day against Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village that we play Coventry at home. You mean that brilliant cross he delivered from the right midfield position for Brereton to score.
  8. Did a very good job at Chelsea and he was manager who brought through players like James, Mount and etc when they faced a transfer embargo and he got them a top 4 place. I think he would be good appointment for Newcastle but I do feel they need to employ the new CEO and Sporting Director first before appointing the new head coach even tho I would sack Bruce today Conte turned down Spurs in the summer over the lack of challenging for trophies ability. Plus he has just walk away from Inter Milan last season over budget and ambition.
  9. They arent going to attract Conte or Zidane at this stage and in my opinion its the last thing they need. Newcastle owners need to put in place a proper footballing structure like experience footballing CEO, Experience Sporting director and head coach. I don't expect they been spending 100 million pounds in January but making 3 or 4 good signings that will improve the squad like Dingles defender James Tarwoski, Manchester United Jesse Lingard and Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah. Good sensible and thought-out signings
  10. well thats your opinion but in my opinion Buckley was our one of our best player in the game including the first half.
  11. Buckley was our best starting 11 player at Blackpool away game. Not sure Burns is ready to throw into the starting 11 right now. Plus I want to Butterworth start ahead of Burns for this game
  12. Well not really. They haven't been given alot of game time yet but that will come. I picked Edun on his Blackpool performance and I would to play the same team that played so well second half at Blackpool. If Brereton was available to play from the start he would be starting in place of Butterworth.
  13. From what I have read about the takeover that Saudis are taking actively involved in running the club and the Club non chairman is expecting to be there for the first game according to SSN. No one is Conte or Zidane going there. They appoint someone like Lampard. from what I have read about the new owners plans there is they want to appoint an experience CEO, Sporting Director and head coach. Plus transfer wise they won't spend stupidly in January and I expected they will buy younger players who will develop and get better in time. Plus the owners need to invest in the Stadium and training ground which need improvement and redevelopment. Why would PL and UEFA stop their owners investing in the club along as the meet the Profit and sustainability rules? We have 2 Newcastle fans at work and they don't give a toss about the political side of this. They seem it getting rid of Ashley and new owners are here. Look like Frank Lampard is someone that the new owners are speaking too and he could even be appoint before Sunday game from what I read online. Whether its happens we will see. They got a new CEO, Sporting Director and Head coach to appoint now they bought the club.
  14. lets hope you are Very much like Paul Dickov or Jamie Vardy type. and thats was my first opinion when I watched him for the first time for the under 16's There is very few target man strikers around at the minute
  15. great shame for the PNE club and fans. I don't know if the Hemmings family are big football fans or not but I hope they keep ownership of the club
  16. My team. My bench would be Pears, Carter, Johnson, Clarkson, Khadra, Poveda, Burns
  17. I think last season he shown more than glimpses and I said this summer that I thought he would replace Armstrong goals and set up to the plate and score goals. So far he has done this and done excellent so far. on his first 2 seasons he wasn't given enough game time here and used has a sub player. Well when we signed him I was happy with him cos from what Ive seen of him thought we signed a talent player. I can see him going to Spanish or Portuguese club tbh this summer if he continue his performances and keep scoring. I don't see him here next season unless he gets a long term injury.
  18. Yes players like Rothwell, Nyambe and Lenihan have been offered new improved contracts by club as we were told a couple of weeks ago. But if they want to move on and look for better contract or move to new club then we can't stop them. With the Championship money tree ending at most clubs now and the vast of majority of championship club cutting back on their wage bill now. Its a risky strategy for them. If they want to sign new contracts here great and I would be happy about but if they only want to chase the money tree or want a new challenge at new club then good luck to them in the future, But I would hope that if we are going to sell any of these out of contract players like Lenihan, Nyambe, Rothwell, Davenport then our chief of Recruitment and his recruitment team have players being scouted right now and we have lined up players we will sign when or if they go. I know who I would look at to replace Lenihan and Nyambe with. But going back to Brereton is I don't see him here next season unless he picks up serious long term injury. If we can get 15 million pounds this summer then I expected we would accept that and invest some of them towards signings and some of it towards the budget and offsetting the club season losses.
  19. I've only seen Rangers interested in Rothwell but not seen other clubs linked/interested in Nyambe or Lenihan. Have I missed that? Yes they might be easier to do in your mind but they still need the club to be attractive to them by offering them the opportunity to play and develop as a player. Lenihan and Rothwell are mid/late 20 and I would expect them to want to explore their options and thats what they are doing. If they aren't willing to commit to the club then we need to sell them in January and bring in replacements that want to be here
  20. I deffo don't agreed cos his performances this season have been very good and he is scoring goals. Similar form to Armstrong in the previous 18 months. Yes he scored a good goal this morning for Chile but he is performing well for his nation team. He has been improving for the past 14 months before this season and will continue to do so. I expected we will received 12 to 15 million pounds for him this summer and I expected we accept the bid and reinvested it in the squad. We are allowed to make 39 million pounds losses over 3 seasons and I haven't seen a change to this rule and regulation. Has this change recently? I agree on players have to sold if those players won't sign new contracts in January. Those players are Rothwell, Lenihan and Nyambe. Yes we have to keep the wage bill down but we should be looking at players with 6 months left on their contracts and signing them in January like John Souttar who I see was linked with us yesterday and I think Rovers are looking for Lenihan replacement already.
  21. Dolan and Buckley are key players to the team this season and deserved their new contracts. Dolan has been outstanding since joining the club and will only get better as time goes on. I would be looking at new 5 years contract already for him. and to be honest the same for Buckley who I think so far has shown his quality to the team again this season
  22. IMO, plenty would have argued against a new contract for him before this season or even last season. But we have been in talks with him for a while over a new contract. I have always been a fan of him and thought he would make it here and produced the goals he should here. Shame its come 3 years in but thats it. It would be something his agent would ask for if if any new deal imo.
  23. I agree he has been one of best performing players since the first lockdown. I agree he is unlikely to be here next season Did we lose Armstrong for cut price really given we got between 15 to 18 Million pounds. I heard similar arguments when we sold Gestede to Villa for 6 million we sold him cheap despite that being the higher bid we received and he wanted out. really Rigger? 10 goals this season in the championship already for Rovers and he is Chilean International and scoring goals for them. Suggest you look again there at that post Mercer, you are ignoring his form from when the season resume after the first lockdown and then last season where he was good form of performing and scoring. I expected he will be gone by this summer 2022 to a PL club or La Liga club given his form and how he is performing this season for Rovers and Chile.
  24. No he is represented by Wasserman. The same agency as Bradley Dack and Bradley Johnson. Agreed there. 3 years contract with wages same as Dack and 15 million pounds release clause in the deal. Seems a fair deal
  25. In the last few months? Buckley, Dolan, Carter and Wharton were given new contracts. Given that 2 of those players are key players/assests for the club this season and beyond. Well if he wants explore his options what can the club do. I hope we can get him on a long term contract with 15 to 20 million pounds release clause in the contract
