  1. away from home was a top night ( well a couple of days for us as we had a night in Edinburgh also except for of a run in with some Aberdeen fans but some Rangers fans jumped in ) Invited into hidden' pubs behind shutters adorned with Irish flags and given all sorts of concoctions including 'buckfast - felt like we totally outsung them and should certainly have won the game Walked it back to Glasgow Centre after the game ( seemed to take ages) but got changed and went straight back out in Glasgee' for halloween - which I think from memory was also a student night and there where some sights to be seen and enjoyed !! Top few days and certainly one of the best away trips in my following of Rovers At home totally different story - taken over by hoardes of 'drunken green and white and totally outsung in the stands, outplaye dand outthunk on the park
  2. To the tune of ‘Brown Girl in the ring’ We’ve got a new gaffer Tra la la la la We’ve got a new gaffer Jon Dahl Tomasson We got a new gaffer Tra la la la la He’s going to lead us to the Premier League … TOMASSON!! Getting Us Promotion Toma … Tomasson!! Come show us Promotion Toma … Tomasson!! Lead us to Promotion Toma … Tomasson!! He looks like he’s gonna be the one … TOMASSON!!
  3. For me,never got the 'love in' with Dack - not saying he's a bad player for this level but never seen this our 'team saviour feel that alot seem to think he has - even pre injury - maybe not seen enough of him, but surely won,t be anywhere near what he was . Anyway , regardless of that would start him these last couple of games just to get him more fitness and see how he does. I'm in the camp for try something new and give other players a chance not into all this bollux about not having the experience signed for the u23s etc ( what is all that about?) Just keep the bellend moboring away from the team / club/Lancashire and we might actually get something from the game
  4. And still you don't see it ... I would say unbelievable but for you its believable
  5. It never began ..never has whilst the plank has been in charge
  6. Simple factor is we are being pulled all over the place and haven't got a clue what to do when we get the ball and too slow Van Hecke for me has been poor
  7. Thanks 1864 ...but this is the moral of the point of having the covers especially given the factors that are matter of fact with regards to the pitch and the drainage .. given that the storm wasn't necessarily out of the blue and enough warning was advised across the country - there is enough space around the edges for the snow to have been swept back to sides from the covers much as you used to see in the 'old days'. The club is not absent without some blame here but the circumstances of what happened is unexplained at present.
  8. Explain pls 1864 (genuine) - the water wouldn't have been on the pitch just maybe would have been a running river around the edge Wasn't it covered in snow at 12.30 - how can he have called it on then and not once the snow once cleared - all seems a bit strange to me
  9. Regardless of 'guess who' was to blame yesterday and whether any of the fans thought it was playable its the way it was handled more than anything else and was just a total shambles All the ifs and buts of whether the pitch would have cut up are irrelevant as we we all know that there are issues and could have ended up playing snow or no snow and freak weather and still have the same situation for the pitch not just yesterday but in any week. The issues are well documented and there was enough warning about the weather for precautions to have been taken which for our pitch should be a standard. Seems too much of he says she says' for me and still no mention from the referee ... have no issue with refs calling off games and it wouldn't have been in his mind whether it would cut up for the next game as not his problem - question for me is whether the ref was made aware of the issue of drainage when it was covered in snow as a logical decision could have been made at the earlier pitch inspection if so, to the likelihood it wouldn't be playable if the decision was because it was considered unplayable because of a soggy bottom.
  10. Certainly Gav .. hope your beers chilled ..enjoy your pint or five Feel sorry for the Millwall fans as per any others when this kind of thing happens.. something amiss for this for me on a couple of hours earlier then off , most people know what happens when snow melts
  11. Frozen my arse - more likely to be soaking .. .as has been said where was the undersoil or covers It is what it is ...shambles by the ref really as ultimately their final decision but club must have some input on this nobody can call Hull after this
  12. just have an uneasy feeling this could be a Valentine massacre for us... New manager bounce for the boing boing baggies Its on Sky .. we know what that means Moboring bigging up the opposition again hope I'm wrong and the recent lacklustre performances were just a blip and not the evidential beginnings of the all too common and familiar death spiral
  13. Playing to that striker that we didn't need ...beggars belief , actually get somebody in who can cross but have nobody to cross to
  14. I did Gav today was shocking - 1st goal difficult to say as possible could have swerved but the 2nd goal is just beyond believable - I hate to call keepers as know any mistake is always jumped on in that position but that was an easy take to day and it was a joke - honestly never seen anything like that in my life including my playing days. Felt sorry for Dolan being asked to play a position which he is obviously never going to be able to fulfill -manager error again. Annoying factor is without even getting into first gear we had this won once we took took the lead - Wigan had not really troubled us at all - then we just said here you go and seemed to give up and go all casual
  15. Absolutely lashing it down still at present here in Wigan - hope it does dry out ,always gets flooded around the DW /Robin park area area so don't rule anything out - don't forget your coats and bring yer masks
  16. Not sure what is been like at other grounds but for those going tomorrow they have only been accepting card payments over the bars in the stadium at both footy and Rugby
  17. Yes, I,m another feel its been more luck and forced arm -however possible reserved credit for whats happened since the Foolem debacle but as with many still in the back of the mind re the spirals and previous history. Could be I'm fogged with the fact I didn't want him as manager in the first place but end of the season will be for when plaudits are given.
  18. I did, my wife picked the first name which she always wanted for a lad as he was our first , but Garner is his middle name - managed to get a signed photo with him and my lads when we had the first large meeting at St Georges Hall during the protests.
  19. as what has been said many a time .. even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day Anyway enjoy the win Merry Groundhog Day
  20. credit to the players and the fans that attended ......not the pillock in charge...
  21. Really Gav ? With respect for me highlights the issue completely and saddens me entirely, especially when it comes from those like your good self who I only met through Rovers and has the Blue n White running through them. In context 'slagging' off is probably touche' in response to your 'lazy characterisation' as I'm certain there is no intention of that , and would say probably more envious feeling of you and the same of others that you can still tolerate what is happening to be able to still attend...as I certainly can't Mow boringbray and crew for me are the ones that need to go first if not only for the turgid happenings at base level and the team to try and resurrect more interest for absent fans. We know the underlying issue is the buffoons in Pune but that as as we have found out to our cost is a different can of worms; but to also have the most boring hypocritical, drab and potentially 'dangerous manager and motley crew I have ever known at the club it is really a bigger than ever concern. I certainly can't stomach what is going on, even from the simplicity what we just see on the pitch as find it just so boring and frustrating just like the goon that is controlling it. As we all know the club is in a mess still but my hat goes off to you and others for being able to overcome this.
  22. It will fail without doubt - you can have all the possession you want but if you don't do anything with the ball you have no chance Throw in our inability to defend as a unit ( even without proper defenders) and the square pegs and round holes we are already know about and it just gets further depressing Don't worry ... defenders are coming I tell ye!!
