Benfica - their ground is tremendous and the Tube runs straight to it with a shopping centre next too it with bars and food outlets and a bit of fairground on top.

Not for wanting to repeat others .. the Palace play off immediately comes to mind but as some have said the actual outcome may have been for the best. Trelleborgs home and away/Citeh at home as mentioned One not yet mentioned and only for the particular reason that the Rovers fans seemed to be everywhere was the defeat at Stoke in the old first division when we where on our unbeaten run. Sheff Utd in the cup .. and the resultant (expected) on penalties defeat. Away at Port Vale 2 v 0 - again in the old Division when they had already been relegated but moreso to change the performance rather than the result - we where awful. There are many more.....

This will be more difficult than people think and we always seem to struggle against them for some reason. Given their morale boosting win over the Gooners and it adds a little more to the situation. We need a win and to start scoring some goals We have had a rest so should be a little more refeshed and on that basis make home advantage count. 2 V 1 Rovers - nervy first half with us possibly going behind but responding with x2 Jeffers goals in the 2nd half when Hughes finally realises Nonda is just a no no no. Probably would if he was given the opportunity in the team. However due to our labourius rhythm of atatcking and 'inability' to somehow create shooting chances at the edge or just outside of the box without a line of defenders getting in the way - unlike when opposing teams seem to manage at will against us. -

Think most people do 1864 especially those who have been to the Euro away games before, but still think people need to complain otherwise nothing may get done. It can't be the first time Feyernoord have had to deal with a large group of away fans and they knew in advance how many where going so the police and respective authorities had plenty info regarding what to expect. Unfortuantely I didn't go to this one, however if it hadn't been Rovers it could have been far more messier from what people are saying StuWilky is probably correct saying to contact John Newsham - however it didnt' appear to do any good after the incidents inside the ground in Sofia. -

Think those people who are casting it off as a 'no worry' situation are burying their heads a bit. Firstly, most if not all are expecting those injured to come back and just automatically slip back into the team no problem ... and we all know it doesn't work like that. Secondly ... if we are playing well now ( and not getting the results) .. what happens when we hit bad form? Think the EURO form is glossing over the problem somehwat .. there is no doubt the injury problems have not helped but we have a major problem up front at the moment. Worry might be too strong a word at this stage of the season and at this moment I don't feel that we will end up in the relegation dogfight , however certain aspects of our game are of a concern that need sorting before it becomes inevitable that we do - especially up front which a few people have commented upon. -

not according to Sparky and Savage we didn't - we went to win. This is my point of worry as IMO we sure didn't apply ourselves to do that except for the first 20 mins. -

Gav - nice to know you are in one piece and what sound like another excellent Euro trip Honestly, it didn't come over that way on TV - look at all the other comments on here. Suppose its the usual you only get the true reflective by being there, or TV tends to highlight things more. Anyway - did they put a shelf up for you. Have a safe journey home -

This is what I was getting to - people on here seem to automatically think he will be coming back. Seems to be a long time for what would appear to be a relatively minor diagnosis of the injury. -

No, but I think it is for many naive people who think that was contact to warrant a penalty ( if it had been outside of the area this would not have been called as a foul) - inc the people who are supposed to apply the rules and regulate them. All part and parcel of what is wrong with the game - if you think there was contact to warrant a penalty never mind a foul then go and be a ref - think you'll find that most people are disagreeing with your interpretation, and not just Rovers fans. I'll say it again seeing as you missed reading before - if that was a penalty then every challenge in the penalty box should be called as a penalty. So who is finding it difficult now?? -

Don't think questions need to be asked - Oojer is beginning to look class. My worry is about Nelsen's prolonged absence - will it affect him? If he comes back the same player - then it will look very promising at CB. -

My penneth ... well done for getting through but we are going to have to drastically improve. What penalty(ies) ?? - yet again uproar made against ones that should have been against us which blatantly were not - compared to stonewall ones for us. Its now NO NO NO Nonda - he offers nothing McCarthy - start to pull your finger out - how many times does he want to be offside?? We have to stop giving the ball away for FFS and stop dwelling on it - there where many times last night where we just didn't concentrate and lost some good attacking opportunities - especially in the first 1/2 hour. Jeffers deserves a start - did more in the little time he had than Nonda has done for the past 5 games. Thanks goodness for Brad - still alot of of stand off in defence though Zurab was downright awful. MGP -imo did alright compared to recently and his 'broken' rib - if only he would stop being so lacksadaisical with his crosses and passing. Except for Gray and Whoareya (he is beginning to impress me) the rest was much of a muchness with Tugay probably the only one with any credit - had alot of the ball but not much on for him to pass to. Thought Feynenoord where quite impressive in patches until they got to the penalty box. One thing is certain - the last two Euro games we have got 4 pts - when in all reality we probably should have had none. Now the worrying part - Interview with Sparky last night he said he thought we where the better team and controlled most of the game especially the first 20 mins - and the interview with Savage - he said we went out to win and he also thought we controlled the game .... Doh!! Well done to the fans who travelled - I'm sure you will have enjoyed it. All I can say is thank goodness for the break. -

Tris totally agree with what you are saying - think most who play football would. Le Chuck to me is just one of them and belongs on that panel Ironic (or should that be ironically thing is that Paul Elliot is on it) with his history of the Anfield saga. Correct decision my arse - I'll say it again and I am yet to be convinced there was contact from any replay - if there was and its a BIG BIG IF then every flaming challenge in the penalty box would be a penalty. -

Something I picked up on and questioned Rev. Anyway, the officiating today was downright disgraceful. Regardless of what happened there isn't a cat in hells chance that Tugays challenge was a penalty - he made a genuine attempt at the ball and the Spuds player fell over is sliding back leg. Now if that is deemed a penalty then nearly every contact in the penalty box should be called as a penalty including the push on Pedersen. The ironic thing is the player would have probably scored if he had stood up - cheat. Secondly - Mido smido - wtf was going on in the first half - the ref went over to him to say he so him use his elbow and did absolute bugger all.. Also it was a blatant handball - MOTD2 - What a bunch of tossers!! did everything to try and prove it wasn't a penalty - linesmans view my arse - it was higher up and not even level - look at the replays the linesman is stood in front of Mido so should have seen it. As for Ghalys sending off - IMO ref also got that wrong - yellow at most for a clumsy challenge but thats it - was refreshing hearing Jol's comments but as we all know the refs can't be wrong nowadays. Now gripe for Rovers - Why oh why don't we play like that from the start? Front two shocking again as a twosome up until the sending off then Mccarthy came alive. Attacking wise we where very poor again untill the sending off creating very little Bentley and MGP both poor - again what is going on with Bentley and Bert? We should have won regardless. -

We are gonna win - I can feel it in my Guinness Rovers 3 v Spurs 1 -
No problems rg and I think this is what Mr B's intention is - I agree on this and am not totally whiter than white if you know what I mean ie my reactions might have been of similar nature if a MU fan had been sat near me (depenedent on their actions) but it wouldn't have been a drink I would have been throwing ... it would have been Bobf as he sits in front of me Think fernhurstblue above covers it more to the point in terms of balancing things up.
