  1. Looking at the teams directly below us and who they are playing, we probably will be.
  2. He was fucking terrible. Managed 9 goals at this level for us over two season, and before you say other players were ahead of him like Jansen and Bent, there was a big reason for that. Lazy, couldn't be arsed, plodded about. I remember his main contribution as coming on as a sub, then rugby tackling the oppo keeper while we scored. A big waste of money. When he played for Bolton I remember saying to the bloke next to me, what a donkey he is, he only goes at one pace. I'm glad we don't have to watch that every week. Then during Hodgson's nervous breakdown, he signed him for £4m.
  3. That's a hiding I'm not willing to set myself up for. So far Gregg's idea of a striker was George Hirst in his first transfer window and absolutely nobody in the second, despite being in an excellent league position at the time. There can be no excuses for the failure in January.
  4. Blake was awful at this level too.
  5. I think it's guaranteed he'll bring in another donkey of a striker, a midfielder from somewhere, and some loans. A report last week said we were after a league 1 right back, which sounds the level of our ambition. Would be a bit baffling that one when we have other areas that are much more in need of strengthening.
  6. Down there with Ward, Blake, Davies, Dailley and the pointer sister.
  7. I think we were on the same amount of points at this stage last season, sitting in 8th but we'd played two more games.
  8. Don't do it to yourself, expect nothing and you won't be as disappointed.
  9. That's because the backing always falls short somewhere, no matter what.
  10. Despite all of the clubs failings, we'd be in the automatics. Gregg and co really fucked up.
  11. Unpopular opinion perhaps, but even if the manager had got the team selection right, we still wouldn't have scored if we'd played all night.
  12. He's not as bad as Mowbray. A lot of his problems are enforced whereas Mowbray brought them on himself. He does let himself down sometimes though. He dropped Morton and Brereton was out, we played better, then he brings both back. I'd be interested to know if the Morton deal has an appearance clause.
  13. The clue was in his post. "My eyes..."
  14. Agree about Morton, I would have taken him and Gallagher off, but BBD was abysmal again and Dolans sitter lost us 2 points.
  15. The manager got it wrong tonight and it seems so obvious to almost everyone but himself. Let's be honest, there is no "right" team with this squad. It's either Gallagher or a kid. It's either Morton or another kid. We needed some decent signings in January to replace both of them so ensure we were in the mix. Not hope the academy can prop us up. Dolan and Travis were both poor. Brereton has already gone.
  16. I'm not. I've absolutely no belief that the club will get a striker who can score goals and a midfielder who can dictate play.
  17. Hull pretty desperate to hold onto this point that they don't need.
  18. We play better as a team when he's in though.
  19. Too late with the changes.
  20. Get Gallagher, Brereton and Morton off so we can take some pressure off the defence, ffs.
  21. The idiocy is catching. Carter's caught it now.
  22. We were doing so much better without Brereton and Morton in the team and now we're back to square one.
  23. I'd be happy to single him out if he was the problem, he was awful in the first half against Hudds. It's plain to see what's wrong tonight (and many others), and it's not easily fixed at this stage of the season.
