  1. It's like their keepers are having a sneaky bet on who can be the most shit. I don't think I've ever seen two different keepers, same team, same match, be this bad.
  2. I think you've got your wish 😕
  3. Bit annoying that Tella did two fouls in ten seconds and didn't receive a single card, yet their goalie got sent off for one. Funny old game isn't it.
  4. Sheffield Utd imploding at the Dingle dome.
  5. Oof, Huddersfield were a lot more fortunate. Two shots, two goals against run of play. Then we hit the post. I'd say we were very unlucky overall. Huddersfield had 10 men defending for most of the game. Give us a midfielder and a striker and we'd be beating these teams easily.
  6. You wouldn't have thought so with the reactions on here.
  7. You say it doesn't need fixing but we've only won one in the last five. I think Brittain is a better defender but JRC the better attacker. I'd still keep JRC on the same side but give him the free role he seems to have now. If Sorba isn't playing.
  8. I'd leave them out and bring BBD off the bench. I wouldn't even have Gallagher on the bench.
  9. I'd like to see Brittain at fullback and JRC further forward when Sorba isn't playing. Keep Wharton in. Szmod gave everything. Brereton is poor, blimey. I'd replace him with Dolan in the next game. It's a shame I could enjoy a game without having to watch Gallagher plod about, but then the defence made up for it with two sloppy goals totally against the run of play. If we don't beat Hull at home then we may as well give up.
  10. I've never seen such a one sided game, yet chasing a point most of the match.
  11. I know all of those things, we'd still be equally shit upfront with the odd good game. Rovers are like a Hydra in terms of scoring goals, cut off one head and replace with another head of equal or worse value. Waggot allowing Mowbray free reign to create a team with an inability to score goals shouldn't be ignored. But then not addressing that in the last two transfer windows is criminal. But that's what you get with a ropey ex-agent chancer as CEO, he couldn't care less. Back to JDT, I said this a while ago but why the club brought in a manager who wants to play a certain way, then can't even muster a striker in two transfer windows is yet another decision that makes no sense. They'll have had this planned beforehand so knew they couldn't back him with signings. All they did over the last two windows was the bare minimum, replace players that had left. You can't do that if you're genuinely chasing promotion.
  12. Not by the club then, whose push for promotion equated to bringing in a loanee winger?
  13. Defence and Pears having a nightmare. Completely outplaying Hudds but if you're asleep at the back what's the point. 2 shots 2 goals. Not dangerous enough upfront and still suffering from underinvestment in goalscorers. Brereton not helping with passing backwards instead of getting forward. JRC should have scored but a poor finish.
  14. Because we've not seen that squad finish in a top 6 place yet, ever? I think this is the problem with a lot of fans, you're expecting guaranteed play offs from a bunch of players who previously have let us down time after time. I know what's coming and I'll be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't.
  15. Not entirely on him, he doesn't have a centre forward worth using.
  16. Thanks to the club being so laid back/lazy about seemingly everything - including the way they treated Mowbray, I just had absolutely no expectations of this season. Mid table was my prediction because I didn't think we'd have the firepower to get us higher up the league. So it's been a surprise we are where we are and not a surprise when we get beat, even though it still ruins my day. I've no doubt that many are expecting the play offs. If we get in the play offs they'll be then expecting promotion. When we don't achieve one or the other they'll all be livid just as they was when we didn't get to the next round of the cup. It's folly to expect anything of this bunch of players. I don't expect any of it because I know we'll be pinning our hopes on the likes of Morton and Gallagher, combined with inconsistent misfits like Hedges and Dolan. And as for Brereton, is his heart really in it any more? I don't see it. I'd like us to get into the play offs as it would indicate an improvement. I won't enjoy the JDT out posts all over social media from the same people who would defend Mowbray to the death.
  17. It's impossible not to pick one or two passengers these days. Morton and Brereton need dropping for Wharton and Dolan. Gallagher needs dropping but I haven't a clue who for. Whoever we put there would be on a wing and a prayer. JRC takes Hedges role and Brittain takes the fullback position.
  18. They clearly aren't under pressure, but I don't get the same vibe from JDT as I did from Mowbray. JDT has more or less stated that he desperately wanted to kick on this season but wasn't backed. But yes I agree we should be playing Wharton (and should have started Sorba), and I thought we were playing better with Dolan instead of Brereton, but even if we were we'd still have a very poor centre forward upfront along with all the other players who struggle to find the net regularly - and have done so for several seasons. We should have seen some fresh faces in January. We were not only desperate for a midfielder and striker, but along with that, having no competition gives little incentive for anyone to go the extra mile. And that's what we saw against Norwich. Blame the manager all you want but match after match I'm seeing chances regularly missed by Gallagher. A decent striker would have knocked in a few of his recent opportunities.
  19. I don't hate Mowbray (?), I just think he was coasting. If they'd given him a contract he'd still be doing the same. He struck lucky with Brereton coming good and no one will tell me any different. We're discussing a man who put Sam Gallagher at fullback and Bradley Johnson as a false 9. I'll never forget when we were on a decent mini run and a journo asked Mowbray what was being done that was different, considering such a turnaround in fortunes. Mowbray replied, we aren't doing anything different, your answer is as good as mine, I don't know. And I think that sums up his management style. Stick with something and pray it works more often than it doesn't. Also you've said previously, this season we should improve on last season. And your reason seems to be that we have pretty much the same squad as last.
  20. What is absolutely crazy is thinking we have some sort of right to do better than 8th without a striker in the squad and all the upheaval we've had 🤣🤣🤣 And thinking Mowbray had any sort of gameplan with Brereton 🤣🤣🤣
  21. The team that finished 8th wasn't quite the team JDT inherited was it? But even so Brereton had the best season probably of his career last season as he hasn't been as good this season. "Massively improved" is an overexaggeration, but even if he did have a decent season I'm not sure the difference that makes anyway. Mowbray didn't have anything to do with Brereton playing well, he struck it lucky with Chile call up and the confidence boost that brought. And he's more Brereton than Diaz this season. And if Brereton hadn't been scoring last season, the first half would have been the same as the second half. We wouldn't have finished 8th for sure. 8th massively flattered us last season, and 8th would massively flatter us this season all things considered. It's an unbalanced squad with some inconsistent or very poor players (some that poor they can't even get on the bench despite injuries), without a decent striker and an over-reliance on academy players. The fact people are now calling for a 19 year old lad, without a minute of professional football to his name, to come in and score goals is saying something.
  22. He'll be sacked next season.
  23. Apart from the fact he's 19 with plenty of time to improve. Gallagher is 27 with no sign that he'll get any better.
  24. Brereton had the season of a lifetime. We brought in more than one player in January last season. It was largely Mowbray's squad being asked to play differently. We lost two defenders and a midfielder pre-season, with no return. We lost an excellent defender back to his parent club. We were told from the outset it would take time. Mowbray showed no interest in resolving the lack of goals, impacting this season. Let's not forget the losing mentality that has been here for a while. The squad was in a bit of a mess when JDT came in.
  25. Because he's worked wonders with a shit squad?
