  1. Mowbray should tell Elliott to keep running at their defence, they are terrified. Hanley wouldn't have a chance as we've seen.
  2. What a f***** superstar that lad is.
  3. This turning attack into defence on the wings is so frustrating, especially as it's a hit and hope whether our defence will make a horrendous cock up of it. Whatever happened to getting forward and getting a cross in? We get forward then pass it back unless Harvey Elliot has it. Three passes forward, chance to get the ball in the box, then three passes back, pass forward lose the ball. This is how our possession stats look favourable. We're very good at holding on the ball whilst doing nothing with it. For me Mowbray has got confused with the fact he's managing a mid table Championship club, and playing football manager on the PC where he's in charge of Liverpool. I hope it gets better in the second half but I can't see it.
  4. Ben Brereton contributed to that. Our defence is terrible but up front for the last two games we've looked out of ideas.
  5. Douglas. We've managed to replace a poor full back with a poor full back, who perhaps offers us even less.
  6. It's both, but defence mainly. Manager can't recruit decent defenders.
  7. We'd be great if Mowbray knew what a decent defender looked like.
  8. I'd say it was more the teams problem than just Armstrong, there was only Armstrong having a shot. In other games the whole team are testing the goalie and it adds up. Their goalie had a quiet game. I think Armstrong missed a nuisance alongside him personally.
  9. He doesn't score but he is a nuisance which gives defenders something to think about. We missed that last night.
  10. Brereton gives Armstrong (and everyone else) space. He may not be the best but this season he's running for everything and constantly distracting the oppo defence.
  11. I think it is as simple as that with Mowbray.
  12. I don't know if it was laziness, 3 out of 4 of that defence looked unfit to me. On 60 minutes Ayala and Williams looked knackered, Douglas didn't look 100%. Probably an unpopular opinion but I thought as well as Brereton we missed Trybull last night.
  13. I'll be very very surprised if it's not a clinical victory for Norwich on Saturday.
  14. The defence lets the team down time and time again. They are far too prone to switching off for large parts of the game, you could see it happening tonight, they began to look very tired all of a sudden. That and we rely too much on Armstrong and Mowbray has a soft spot for Gallagher. He's improved recently but tonight he should have been taken off a lot quicker. We really need Dack back to help with the goals.
  15. Bell is the same, almost as if there's a problem with the way that side is set up. Or they could just be terrible defenders.
  16. Personally I thought they were a bang average side tonight. They nicked a goal because our defence switched off about 20 mins into second half, they looked knackered. Never thought I'd say this but we missed Brereton niggling at the back four. He gives Armstrong space.
  17. Our league position mirrors the way we play - forwards forwards forwards, back back back back. We play like Mowbray comes across, very laid back and like we've all the time in the world.
  18. Unfair to have lost the game, a draw would have been fair but questions have to be asked. Why did he take a midfielder off first? How did Gallagher manage to stay on the pitch so long in the second half? Why such late subs when we needed fresh legs and ideas? I thought generally the players played well but anyone could see the defence was tiring and his answer to that was to take Holtby off. We also play like I do at Fifa. Forward, forward, forward, backwards, forwards, backward, backwards, forwards, all the way back - the goalies hoofed it. There's a fine line between pretty football and pretty frustrating.
  19. I've noticed he's started competently holding the ball up in the last few games so maybe there's hope he can learn to jump.
  20. You could say they are a touch upset. Rowett is a massive cant, Mowbray an ugly cant and we are northern cants.
  21. That referee was a total and utter c@nt.
