  1. As long as people want to post on this thread leave it open. It will naturally sink to another page when the posts stop.
  2. Nottingham Forest
  3. If the work permit is anything like passport renewals, driving licences or powers of attorney, he'll be lucky to get one before Christmas. The inefficiency of the working people of this country is abominable.
  4. Lovely nostalgia but that team didn't win the title. Lovely to watch Mooney, Crossan, Briggs, Quigley, Langton in 1954 as well as Ferguson, McEvoy, Pickering, Douglas, Harrison in 1964 but............
  5. I'm hoping that the new regime will bring out players like Dolan, Travis and Buckley. Raheem Sterling was a good player at Liverpool but Pep improved him by a mile at Man City. I think Nyambe would also improve a lot if he stays with us.
  6. I will certainly applaud Darragh before kick-off when he returns to Ewood. A good player and a good servant. I wish him well.
  7. I was always a pessimist about Rovers but now I am brimming with optimism. However, Rome wasn't built in a day. We must have patience, especially when we see us lose 2 or 3 on the trot or the team isn't performing to expectations early on. I'm expecting a gradual progression and not ending up treading water like under TM.
  8. It was Gary Bowyer who got the pictures back up. Bo Derek walking out of the sea in "10" got me weak at the knees.
  9. Great game of football. Gally got head butted and didn't bat an eye-lid. Not like the prima donnas and cheats of today.
  10. Regarding own goals, there aren't many of us left who remember Mike Harrison on the edge of our own penalty area looking to pass the ball to a team mate upfield and deciding to pass back to Fred Else on his goal line. Else meanwhile had come out close to Harrison to collect the ball. Both players stood spellbound as the ball rolled slowly towards the Rovers empty net. We on the Blackburn End were trying to will the ball to stop. Some were even blowing to try and stop it. There had been no pressure whatsoever from the opposition. The most spectacular own goal was Keith Newton when playing right full back for Burnley. What a fabulous sight.
  11. He talks about players chasing down the opposition when they have possession. Should be right up Dolan's street.
  12. What real power will GB and JDT have in decision making and hiring and firing? That's what worries me.
  13. Molyneux is very empty. Sounds like a load of kids watching, though.
  14. You have to laugh. If you don't, you'll end up crying your eyes out. Who mentioned Banana Splits? I got it on You Tube and now it's an earworm running round my head.
  15. The black rose. Now that's an interesting name.
  16. A bit hard on our ex captain who has given us good service. I wish him the best of luck.
  17. Still not on the BBC transfer done deals page.
  18. Can we not persuade them that it was a Burnley fan who threw the snowball?
  19. I thought Swanson said Broughton and Knutsen didn't get on.
  20. Were you using warfarin, sodium fluoracetate or zinc phosphide? Oh, sorry, warfarin was replaced by brodifacoum, or as my pest control manager used to call it, "bloodyfuck'em" Half a bob was only sixpence.
  21. With a new DoF and a new Head of Marketing being appointed things are looking up as to a proper structure being put in place at the club. I'm not an ITK person at all but I wonder if Balaji's son becoming more involved in the running of the club has anything to do with it. With the weight of responsibilities being taken off Waggot's shoulders perhaps he'll have more time to spruce up Ewood Park.
  22. One thing I know is for certain in this messed-up affair. When the new manager is announced, I (and probably a lot of you) will be completely underwhelmed.
