  1. No. Tony has said, even though his fitness is ok, he won't be in the squad at Reading. He will, more than likely, be in the squad for the home game against Luton Town.
  2. Conway should be ringing Keith Hill to offer his services.
  3. If Tosin is fit to start, I'd put him right back. Must not split up the Irish trio . Captain Bennett is first on the team sheet. So I'd go with Walton; Tosin, Lenihan, Williams, Cunningham; Bennett, Travis, Johnson, Downing; Dack, Gallagher. Subs:- Leut, Rothwell, Nyambe, Graham, Buckley, Armstrong, Evans
  4. Fernhurst is for away fans. This.
  5. Whilst reading about League 1 should be Div 3 etc., one of my biggest gripes is the wrong information in the honours list in the Rovers' programmes. It's been going on for many seasons. I have contacted the producers twice about it but nothing is done. It says:- HONOURS FA PREMIERSHIP Champions 1994-95 Runners up 1993-94 DIVISION ONE Champions. 1911-12, 1913-14 Runners up. 2000-01 That mistake denigrates the fact that we have been champions of England 3 times and not just once. They need to reorganise the listing somehow.
  6. Excellent game of football. Kosovo are very good. Like Blackpool under Ollie in the Prem, they were a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed every minute.
  7. I bet they don't play as well as a team of young lads.
  8. The way that the laws of the game have been changed mostly for the worse. The over complicated way that is used for VAR. I knew this would happen. Lack of respect for referees and linesmen.Yes I know that linesmen are called something different now. Lack of a sensible maximum wage worldwide.
  9. Nobody seems to have mentioned that Cunningham had his arm pulled so their forward could go past him and score their first goal. Ref was blind to that yet he saw their keeper being fouled for our third. Useless official! Even the pundits on EFL on Quest pointed that out.
  10. Already? Bloody Hell!
  11. I think the 5-man forward line of Ferguson, McEvoy, Pickering, Douglas, Harrison was the best and most exciting I've ever seen. I was around 20 years old at the time. Maybe it's nostalgia but (for me) it beats Ripley, Sherwood, Shearer, Sutton, Wilcox. Then again...............maybe not. Different era. Different pace. R.I.P. Mike.
  12. What was the line-up, who scored and who is Barnes?
  13. Must be better than the Canadian.
  14. Also BBC seem uninterested in the F A Cup.They are so useless. So here is the result:- Longridge Town 0 Charnock Richard 2
  15. I thought it was a good game. Nip and tuck. Cardiff are a very good side and we did well to keep a clean sheet. We have 7 points from games which I thought we would be lucky to get 4. We're OK.
  16. It wouldn't surprise me if Mowbray picked Tosin at right back and Bennett at left back if he is sticking with a back four.
  17. Just for the record, Rovers 1 Wolves 2. (HT 0-0) A Chapman shot equalised for Rovers. Despite heroic defending with 9 men they conceded towards the end. Also Andy Fisher has gone on loan to Northampton Town.
  18. No government of this country of whatever colour is going to intervene in football matters. It's up to the football authorities. But they seem to be inept. Par for the course with regard to many things in this country.
  19. That's right. Blame the Tories. It's their fault for everything, including fires in the Amazon.
  20. At the Charlton game I queued for 25 minutes in the fanzone tent to get a beer. At the Middlesbrough game I noticed several mini dispensers of Fosters all around the Blackburn End manned by two people at each one. That, to me, was a great initiative. Those just wanting Fosters wouldn't have to queue. And the main queue for other things would be greatly reduced.
  21. He looked more mature than the rest. He played left wing, did a lot of dribbling and frightened Leicester's defence often. He took the free kick from the left which Grayson scored from; a well-worked training ground move. A good work out for him.
  22. 1-1. Second half we looked much better and really should have won the game. All the players looked very good. Well worked set piece for our equaliser. I think we were fitter than them.
  23. A good performance by ALL the Rovers players! Not one of them failed to impress. Special mention to Gally on the wing who had a brilliant game and must have been a handful for their left back. Dack was a busy wasp. Couldn't understand Buckley being brought on at the double substitution and he looked a bit lightweight but such close control and intelligent play taking the ball towards their corner flag showed the lad has class. Lenihan and Williams, the two Irish CBs were immense, especially Williams who was my MOM and should be considered for the position of team captain. (But please don't play him at left back)
  24. Bought one today. Haven't read it yet. Give us a chance! Watched the game......delighted with result.........came home and chatted with wife................ate meal while browsing BBC Sport Football, looking at scores, tables, attendances, referees etc..................Not checked email yet..........only just arrived on BRFCS website...............Phew!!
  25. The second Chesterfield home game. Yes, that was a real downer for me.
