v Nottingham Forest (h) - 9/2/22

The Boro game was decent, but ya the Sky cameras I think haven't always led to good performances and results. As Mowbray said though, these are the nights the players should be living for and cherishing -

I'm liking the sounds from the camp, all very positive. Need the result now. This is definitely must not lose and not far off must win if we want automatic promotion Giles to left wing back and then all that remains is who starts up top with Brereton. Surely Gallagher or Hedges. I would have Khadra off the bench -
Great to see Dack get his run out the other night. Sad to think he has missed so much time. What a story if he contributes some crucial goals to our promotion campaign
-
Lenihan surely a shoe in to start the Republics next few games at centre half. Deserves to move ahead of Egan imo
-
I hope he doesn't upset the balance and before anyone says it, I know hes arguably our best player Ya, know maybe upfront in a front 2 will suit him
-
Going off what I have tread though, it seems like a lot of clubs are tightening their belts, so the lads might be surprised. Then again, the way Lenihan , in particular , is playing he could probably get a move to a newly relegated club, at least
-
If we weren't doing well it may have been an option. It's massively in his interest to see this season out with us though
-
I would hope we would sign someone far better to replace Poveda. Chapman is a busted flush

January Transfer window 2022

The links to Neil wouldn't excite me in the slightest. Absolutely underwhelming appointment that would be IMO -

I think we can definitely beat them -
I just hope it doesn't impact his form, because what I predict is teams will try and get him for less than we want and it'll run all Jan and he won't end up leaving
-
Transfer tavern lol It's the exact same quotes from the LT the other day. Obviously if a big enough bid comes he was leaving, was it ever going to be any other way?

Championship 21/22

Ya but could say they made a huge mess appointing McCavoy in the first place. Many on here predicted it would end exactly like this -
Same for them I suppose For us it's a game for the Carters, Butterworths , JRCS and Davenports

Ya, absolute credit to Mowbray for managing to mold such a team operating under those conditions- right? -

They were hardly setting the division alight before Keane arrived. Be interesting to see who they appoint next, some big names being mentioned Just shows again, no guarantees to get out of League 1 -

Yep, the dark arts. Ayala is good at them too. -

I think Van Hecke is a better player than Carter, so I would prefer him. It's great to have local players in the team, but its not the league of gentlemen local shop, for local people, it's the Championship -

Hughton might be a good fit for them -

Hopefully. Just last year it was very bad at one stage..I know it's not easy to maintain when you're just patching it up basically, so I'm not critisizing the staff -
Ah not a bad draw, not glamorous, but not far for the team to travel and it's definitely winnable. Many of their league 1 squad left? Probably none

I wonder is signing Van Hecke on a permanent realistic -
The option will be triggered, if it hasn't been already. I think this is a non issue

I have noticed a few comments the last few days from Mowbray where for the first time he is poking a little bit to say "hey lads, this is our chance, get the f**king cheque book out" For what good it will be worth. Hopefully Waggott gets a backbone and tells them this is the time to spend.
