  1. Great results for us tonight. Come on lads, bring on Sunday!!
  2. Yep, I'm trying to figure out how we'll line up as well!
  3. Bollocks! Dingles with a 94th minute goal!
  4. She sells sanctuary is a good shout. How about Belter by Gerry Cinnamon? Love this live version:
  5. ๐Ÿ˜ and an additional 'F' for completeness
  6. Good website that one. Cheers.
  7. We are Rovers, we are Rovers, super Rovers, from the North anyone? Not heard it sung for years & was always one of my favourites.
  8. Yes, main game on tomorrow - Amazon are showing Prem games on Prime Video though. Rovers with a WLWLWL form with this one landing on a 'L', an ex-manager in town, main game live on Sky.......what could possibly go wrong!? Come on Rovers, prove me wrong.
  9. Might not be a popular opinion, but I thought Szmodics was bloody awful until he got the assist. Running around a lot but achieving nothing. There were also a couple of other moments where his laziness resulted in us losing momentum in attack. I was actually raging at that point. Cue 5 mins later & a great run & cross for BBD. After that he seemed a different player & was involved in everything. Unlucky with the header & a lovely goal. Perhaps my coaching methods aren't that out of date, who'd've thought that calling someone a 'lazy c**t' in today's world would get such a positive reaction!๐Ÿ˜… Anyway, I guess it shows what do I know! Great win, going for a shower & then off to the pub to celebrate. Onwards & upwards!
  10. Think Markanday might've been the 19th man today. He was out with the rest of the squad doing the warm ups & drills before the game.
  11. Just got off the phone to my Dad to arrange picking him up for the game (he's a ST holder btw): Me: "right Dad, I'll pick you up about half one" Dad: "don't bother. I'm not going. They pissed me off on Tuesday with that dicking around in our own penalty area shit!" Take note JDT. If a ST holder takes this view, you've not much chance of many walk-ons. On the plus side, we usually win if he doesn't attend, so COYB.
  12. My first ever away game that one. We were about 10 mins late getting there after trying to find somewhere to park. Ended up with my dad's mate paying some locals to "mind your car for you mister?" As we walked in, we heard the cheer for City's 1st. Not a good start & it certainly didn't get any better! At least the car was fine when we got back to it! ๐Ÿ˜„
  13. I think we definitely would've done. However, conversely, I think that Utd would've won it in '95 had Cantona not been banned for his infamous 'Kung-Fu Kick' at Selhurst Park. Our form at the end of that season seriously tailed off when the pressure was on.
  14. Oh undoubtedly. I think the main difference now is the weight stays the same whatever the weather, plus the material isn't as harsh to kick or head as there'll be more give in it. The lack of laces also helps! ๐Ÿ˜„
  15. As I posted on the previous page ๐Ÿ˜œ Yes, it surprised me after a few of us got in a discussion about it in the pub one night & one smart-arse showed us all up ๐Ÿ˜†
  16. I love the discussions on the weight of footballs. I was also in the 'balls are much lighter nowadays' camp, until I was proven wrong in the pub one night (Damn you smartphones & Google!) Unbelievably, the dry weight of a regulation football has not changed since 1937. Law 2 stipulates that the dry weight of the ball should be 14-16oz (410-450g). Therefore the only thing that has changed over the years is the material it's made from making it more waterproof, aerodynamic etc. https://www.morethanmindgames.com/2010/06/26/an-enduring-football-myth-the-weight-of-the-ball/ https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-2---the-ball#:~:text=made of suitable material,โ€“ 15.6 lbs%2Fsq in)
  17. It's the main game on Sky if you have it - or a mate/relative that does.
  18. If I get it, do I get my money back? Only joking & tbf I haven't got a F*cking clue. Well before my time I'm afraid. @Tyrone Shoelaces will definitely know & will probably know the date & time the photo was taken & the next home game after it with results, scorers & attendance! I've never known anyone with such a recollection, first hand, of anthing Rovers related - Sir I salute you!
  19. If a match finishes with the floodlights on, you must have them on at the start of the next game even if they're not required. (Somebody told me that years ago & I believed them!)
  20. Check your Junk/Spam Folder - I thought I'd not got an email either but it was in there so I just changed permissions for the sender.
