You're obviously from the same neck of the woods as me then. It's Astley Park as u well know & those pitches were like a ploughed field. We used to have a our 'matches ' just behind there between the pitches & the duck pond. -

FFS we literally have no fit attacking players! Just hope Ben comes back unscathed. -

Not sure tbh. Possibly, might be just the fact it's highlighted more of late -

I said exactly the same thing to my daughter at the time. I just knew someone would end up pulling up with an injury. -

I hope that should read Wharton & not Whalton? He was shite in goal never mind at centre back! 😆 -

Referee is James Linington, can't say I know much about him, maybe @arbitro might know more. https://www.efl.com/news/2022/january/referee-appointments-28-january-2-february/ Looks like it's the first time we'll have had him this season https://www.football-lineups.com/referee/1112/ Come on Rovers, we owe this lot a beating on their own patch. Not bothered about the score, just make sure we get the 3 points. -
Championship 21/22

That was a bit of an odd one at the weekend, the on-field ref (Kevin Friend) clearly got the decision correct in the first instance - no pen. Inexplicably, the VAR (Craig Pawson) then asks him to go & have another look. He goes over to have a butchers & I actually suspect he still thought his original decision was correct, however, because he's been asked to go and have another look he's on a hiding to nothing as someone else is essentially telling him he's got it wrong. I'd have absolutely loved it if he (Friend) had a look on the monitor & said "nope, I'm still right. no pen". Unfortunately I just can't see any ref having the stones to do that. Once the first one does, I think we might see a few more stick by their original decision, but I'll not hold my breath. -
On the subject of the sponsor, did people notice that, on Monday, Rover the Dog only had a navy Rovers T-shirt on rather than the home shirt? My daughter knows the guy & he refused to wear the shirt with the new sponsor on it due to his main involvement being with the kids, getting his pic took & high fiving etc etc & asked for a sponsorless one. Apparently they've all got Recoverite on & have to have the block sponsor to cover it, removing the old one leaves a sticky glue residue, so they couldn't give him one. Hence the plain t-shirt. Fair play to him I say!

I thought exactly the same when I read that, Tom. On Monday I even shouted "how f*cking slow is he?" after the 2nd half arsed attempt to get to the ball. If the lad genuinely is 'electrically fast' then he really does need to show a lot more passion & desire as those 2 incidents that spring to mind are unacceptable. -

Likewise. Similar result to last night will do just nicely. On a similar note, I never thought I'd cheer a Swansea 'goal', but I did last night in the pub, only for it to be (correctly) ruled out for offside. -
MOTM Vote now open - vs Middlesborough

Lenihan for me, a true captain's performance as has been most games recently. I thought Buckley was nailed on for MoM at HT, but his impact was stifled in the second half so big Darragh for me. To be fair there were 3 or 4 genuine contenders last night in what was a superb team effort. -
Glad he's doing ok mate. Hope to you both back at Ewood very soon.

I do get the Pickering love in as he's crucial to the way we play atm, but England? Really! Calm down lads, I really hope someone comes back & quotes me on this btw. Wharton on the other hand?, hmm, I actually think that lad can seriously go all the way, hopefully with us obviously! -

Couldn't be arsed posting when I got back last night mainly thanks to the numbties who shut the A63 on a night when a couple of thousand people needed to use it on their way back to Lancs. I bet the people living in their sleepy little villages on the diversion route were made up!! Also, a special mention to the bellend who smashed up his seat and threw it, narrowly missing the guy next to me - this is your own fans, dickhead!! Can't really add much more to what's already been said. Gally crap, JRC crap. Should've been Davenport for Travis, Zeefuik for Nyambe (he can't have been any worse or less fit than JRC) And then same formation as usual. We got bullied last night in midfield & by Eaves. Lenihan on the right wing at the end! WTF? I'm not even gonna get started on the Ref. Even at the opposite end of the ground it looked a clear pen & foul on Kaminski. Watching it back on TV I can't believe he's not given either of them. Anyway, let's hope it's a blip & not the start of Tony's messing about and resulting g death spiral. -

To be honest, I think I'd actually prefer him to Pears! Granted, it's a bit like a 'Tallest Dwarf' competition. -

I make it 15 (in 291 appearances!) according to Wiki but the point still stands. For comparison Dacky has 27 in 80 appearances. (Championship figures only) -

He might be, but, unless I've completely got the wrong of the stick, we're talking about Matt O'Riley from MK Dons.
