I knew I wouldn’t sleep and here I am again on here at silly O’Clock. Been trying to work out, how this weekends results will go and how we will be feeling when he kick off on Saturday. I think Coventry and Millwall will win and if they do, I think we need to. I then think WBA will beat Sunderland on Sunday. If that does all happen and especially if we can win, then a point V the Dingles, would be a good one. I still have this funny feeling we will go to Millwall on the final day and both teams will need one point to finish in the top six. It would be so much better, had we held on, but to coin a phrase “This is Blackburn Rovers’.

Hard to swallow that, but everyone put a shift in. I think I was sweating blood in the last 20 mins. It wasn’t to be, but had we lost, it was probably all over. We can definitely get something at Preston and will know the other results by the time we play. This time next week, if it is still in our own hands, I think we will do it. Nail biting stuff and it will be hard to sleep tonight now.

I only partly knew some of this, so have missed a few bits. It does sound like he could be difficult to manage, but hopefully someone can sort him out. What a shame it would be, if his apparent petulance, ruins his chances at Rovers and beyond.

Absolutely. I guess the same applied when everyone on here and more or less every fan wanted Kean sacked. All that really mattered was the owners opinion and they didn’t. In fact, they never sacked him. I wonder if he would still be here, if he hadn’t decided to walk? There have been some very strange things happening at the club, since these owners arrived and the sure as hell test the patience of us fans, whose opinions have never counted for anything, in their entire tenure. We all thought that rat picked the team, during those days. After all as you state with the current regime, it’s the managers opinion that matters. Those stories about others influencing his selections, including what subs to make, could well, just be fiction. Rovers have become an awful lot more different than they were pre Venky’s, so who knows whose opinions really matter here?

It’s amazing that almost everyone on here says Wharton should be ahead of Morton in the starting line up, but still he isn’t being picked.

It’s simple for me now, start Adam in the next two, as we are in the last chance saloon and need to try something different. I was genuinely both shocked and gutted that he didn’t start, last night.

They are 2/1 to beat us too. Good odds considering

Crazy as it sounds, we need to make sure they don’t beat us. A win will make life more comfortable, when trying to keep the chasing pack at bay. If Coventry beat us, they go above us and our game in hand is the derby. The results for Sunderland at home to Huddersfield, West Brom, away at Blackpool, Norwich away to QPR and Preston away at Swansea, will also all be crucial. Watford are a bit further back and they are home V Cardiff. Beating Coventry puts us 5 points clear and they will have 3 games left. A bit like the Norwich game, beat them and it almost ends their chances. We all know what happened there though!!!

Prepare for more disappointment. We can’t score and I’m sure we will concede in this one. With the teams behind us all poised to take the sixth and final play off spot, I think we will slip out of that on Wednesday and we won’t get back in. A season ending defeat is highly likely. A draw in this one, would perhaps prolong our agony, but out form is shocking, so it’s 0-2, or 0-3 this one for me.

I think we saw again tonight that the fall out between Adam Wharton and JDT is still causing issues. He should have stated tonight, or at least come on at half time. Had the line up been right, we would have won and despite tonight’s disappointment, he could still redeem himself by getting it right in Wednesday and Saturday. I would imagine we will get more of the same though and pick up either 1 or two points end end the season before the Dingles come to town. Tonigjt is firmly on the manager and perhaps down to some pig headed argument.

Whatever happens on Saturday, this trip down memory lane with PP and Toffs etc, has brought memories flooding back of yesteryear in Blackburn town centre. My Saturday night out round these places, were usually after a 90 minute run around the Pleasington football pitches, or Griffin, or even mill hill St Peters. I can still feel those first 3 or 4 pints, hitting the sweet spot. Wonderful days and even better when the combination matches didn't clash and I could go and watch my heroes in the famous blue and white halves. COYB

Until someone shows me otherwise, I will never deviate from this being one big con job, that has backfired. We all know there were people involved at the very beginning, who were effectively running the club. Signing players who were only good enough to carry Christmas hampers, or who came and went without ever making an appearance, was the order of the day. Likewise with the first manager appointed, who as we all know had very close links with these people. Even the appointment of Coyle seemed to lead back to that very stable and how knows, who is still lurking in the corridors. It has proved to be a very expensive mistake, but again is all of the money being put in, actually being put in by the owners, or by a third party? In addition to that, if the brown envelope story, paid to the player liaison office is true and the same paid to Givet's tailor is true, then who knows what comes back out again, to people of this ilk.

He was the chairman when I first started watching Rovers. I didn't have a clue at that tender age, what went on in a boardroom, or even what a chairman was. I simply recall reading the programmes from back to front and seeing his name. Chairman WH Bancroft was etched in my mind from back then, in the early seventies. RIP Mr Bancroft.

The other big one for us this weekend is the Friday night match Boro V Norwich. If Boro turn them over, it puts us firmly in the driving sit if you were looking at them being the main rivals. Currently they are ahead of us in the betting, as are Millwall, but come Sunday morning, the picture could have changed dramatically. We have an exciting weekend ahead.

I would honestly suggest that any Burnley fans turning up without a ticket, should be banned from their ground. Its bad enough hearing what happened at the Blackpool game, so hopefully they will stay at home, watch it on TV and enjoy it that way. No violence, or injury or worse should be tolerated, full stop.
