John Eustace - our head coach
lraC replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I know the club Doctor who worked at Bolton when Coyle was there. He told me some very interesting stories about his that confirmed what a complete pillock he was, which made me even more rattled when we appointed him and called him the stand out candidate. I hope our current manager improves a bit over the next 4 games, as he is beginning to make me, every bit as concerned, especially with his description of some of the players and performances. -

Hope you are right. I have a feeling that Sheff Weds will win and maybe Brum too. It is squeaky bum time if that happens. -

That's the big issue. If they do win on Saturday and we lose, they bring some real momentum into the game. they won their last away game 0-2 and assuming they do win, it would then be two wins and a draw from their last 3. As we know, Rovers have won one under this manager, so why would we give them an even bigger boost by giving them an allocation of 7,000? Self inflicted this, if it does go the way I fear. -

You are quite correct, it is still in our own hands, however one win under the new manager and a demoralising defeat on Wednesday, really will take some recovering from. This is not helped by us selling 7,000 tickets to SWFC and making it a cup final for them and helping to get them up for it. I cannot for the life of me, so Rovers getting as up for it as they will and neither will our fans. This weekends fixtures look challenging from our point of view too and if they go as I expect with another heft defeat for us and a Sheff Weds win, then we are really up against it a week on Sunday and I fear the worst. -
Not to mention getting to the FA cup semi final at the expense of other clubs. Two points does not act as a deterrent, surely.

Prepare to be disappointed -
If he could sell them the points, I swear he would.

Wouldn’t it be nice to even think that would happen. It’s damage limitation the aim of the game in this one and miracles are not about to happen. -

This is precisely why I can't stomach anymore. Nothing has changed and nothing will under these owners. -

I never thought, I would say this, but if we go down this season, I will no be even watching for the results anymore, I have had a gut full and can't take any more. Once the infection has been cleared, I will be back, but I have hot breaking point with it. -

It's actually disgusting and a complete insult to the fans that he is getting away with it. Not only that, he is rubbing our noses in it too, but using adjectives such as fantastic. There is very little fantastic at the club, only fantasists. -
He would probably switch the game to Hillsborough if it was within the league rules and he made a few more quid that way. This defeat and confirmation of relegation is on him and I say that with confidence a week and a half before the game. A complete tool in every sense of the word.

That tells me loud and clear that it was not due to footballing ability, more to do with finance, one way or another. Hard to say exactly what, but if the manger sees that particular decision as the right one, then no wonder he has only had one win so far. -
John Eustace - our head coach

That’s exactly why I haven’t been able to listen to a single interview so far. If the squad is fantastic and he is the man for the job, why have we won 1 in 13. The squad is anything but fantastic, he is a nodding dog and he must think the fans are idiots. If he had anything about him, he would look in the mirror and accept this is beyond him and step down. His appointment was yet another pathetic mistake by the club and the no excuses narrative, current being peddled is as insulting as it gets. Our season rests on him winning his first home game, next time we play at Ewood and I for one have no faith in that happening. -

If we don’t it isn’t because he is any good. I considered him to be a fraud, but after come impressive away win, thought perhaps he deserves a bit of slack. He is out of his depth and will not make a success of this gig. -

Exactly and he needs calling out. It’s a terrible record. -
Don't be too surprised, if we are still paying some of the hangers on from the very beginning. The super agent and his genius client of a manager, may well have disappeared many years ago, but their wages could very well be still on the books. I remember some Bolton fans being totally shocked, when the club went into administration and they found out, who was still on the payroll.

One thing I would suggest, is buying a season ticket using your credit card. That way you are covered under the consumer credit act, should something go wrong and you don't get what you paid for.

As I posted yesterday, in response Chaddy's post about what he thinks the summer transfer, spend will be, there is no guarantee that the court hearing is a forgone conclusion. The statements in the accounts for previous years, made by the owners about them funding the club, can simply no longer be made. Waggott stated to my face during a meeting with him in November, that since a precedent had already been set, then the funding was going to be agreed in February when the court hearing take place. As we now all know, it did not take place then, or again in March and I have a suspicious feeling that they are in for a surprise in August too. We are very close to the edge in my view and panic borrowing in the form of expensive bridging finance form the likes of Crossbaron, makes me even more concerned about the future of the club.

Rovers Rumours & Speculation
lraC replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Can I genuinely offer you a bit of advice as a fellow support. Please take what Waggott says with a pinch of salt. He told me face to face, that the funds would be coming in February to keep the club afloat and stated that we only had enough to keep us going until February, back in November. That now has to mean that the Wharton and Raya money will be used to fund the clubs day to day costs and not transfers. Any future sales in the summer, are highly unlikely to be used to strengthen, so there is a strong possibility that we go into next season, even weaker. I hate to sound overly pessimistic, but my view on the Indian court decision, is is certainly not a foregone conclusion, which is what Waggott stated about the February hearing and is now doing to again, about August. -

We are still in danger of going down, despite becoming harder to beat and that's down to just one win in 12 under Eustace, which let's face it, is poor. If we draw or lose on Wednesday and lose at Leeds (maybe I am being too pessimistic but I see that as a nailed on defeat) then it will be one win in 14 which is abysmal. The jury is still firmly out in my mind, but to be fair, it we do get a win on Wednesday, then I think we will be safe and that's job done. In my view, keeping us up will be a clean slate for me and I hope we can sort our finances out and get some decent signings in, to give him a chance next season.
