  1. Weve all rightly turned the abuse on the man who deserves it most. But... I don't think some of the players should get off that easily. Admins should do a worst man of the match poll. I'd like to see some debate.
  2. Sad thing is I'm nowhere near as angry as I should be. It's just so pathetic, it's all so badly run that I become increasingly apathetic.
  3. I'd probably go with this. Just get the feeling tony will go with Clarkson again instead of khedra and tinker with the formation.
  4. Personal thought the shape was the large problem tonight. We couldn't hang onto the ball because we didn't have options in midfield. Players behind the ball with nobody free to pass to, the wide cbs having time on the ball and no options. Really poor tonight, the real problem is how unbothered I am by it. Its just par for the course now under this management which to put it kindly has gone stale. Shout out to Clarkson who I really hoped would do well being a rovers fan and all but just isn't upto it at all. Maybe if he played deeper in midfield which he is used to and gets on the ball a bit more then he might not be as bad but it's been pretty grim from him so far.
  5. Kaminski Nyambe lenihan ayala pickering Travis Johnson Dolan butterworth brereton Gallagher
  6. Funny you say that because he reminds me of Paul dickov. Small but quite solid physically, harries defenders. I would be interested to see if he could make an impact off the bench. Seems to me to be a better shout than mcbride
  7. I find the goals and assists criticism odd now he's playing centre mid. That's not his main function to the team. Also assists stats aren't that reliable anyway
  8. Hmmmm very tempting isn't it. 16 years old is awfully young for a centre half. You don't want to break the lad. Thinking about that lad reece 0xford that West ham started playing at 16 and that didn't really have the best impact
  9. If lenihan and nyambe are out then I think we need to improvise at right back to avoid having to play magloire. Option 1) Travis to right back? Option 2) Carter right back, a half fit bradley Johnson at cb? Option 3) edun at right back Option 4) buckley at right back Any others?
  10. I mean if you look at it like that sure... This is why you can't judge a player/game on stats alone. He side footed it fairly meekly at the keeper, a fantastic chance. If you side foot it there you've gotta hit the corner, he might get away with hitting it there if he had put his laces through it.
  11. Found Clarksons substitution very frustrating. The lad is a centre mid who mowbray has taken to playing as a 10. He's shown next to nothing in his other 4 appearances. We also had 3 other centre mids on the pitch at the time. Butterworth changed the game vs Hull but didn't get a look in today despite our bluntness. Clarkson proceed to put in another sub par performance showing no indication of why he is being picked. And he side footed a great chance right at the keeper at the end to win it.
  12. I think he's a lot stronger in possession than he was. His problem to me is a) being played out of position b) he holds onto the ball too long. He needs to release it quicker sometimes.
  13. Buckley has played his prefered position in very fews games this season. The closest he has been is as a 10 where he has done alright and right of a midfield diamond vs WBA in which nobody did well because of the system being played. I'm not personally convinced by the travis/Rothwell partnership. Even against Hull they left huge holes in front of the defense, with travis overcomitting and Rothwell going on driving runs forward leaving space in the middle of the pitch. I'm a big supporter of Joe Rothwell but I've been really surprised to see him play in a 2 man central midfield. Mowbray has said before he would never do that unless it was late In the game and we were chasing the game. So I wonder what has brought about the change, maybe its to keep him sweet for a new contract?
  14. Buckley was poor Tuesday because he was being played wide right. Out of the 4 centre mids we played on Tuesday the one I would've done the best job further forward would be Rothwell. Buckleys a centre mid. He's technically good, reads the game well, wins a few tackles and is getting pushed off the ball a lot less than when he first came into the team.
  15. I think Khedra will fit a role as an impact sub. Dolan will press and track back more and to be fair to him he was the only one to spark any life into that first half on Tuesday.
  16. Kaminski Nyambe lenihan ayala pickering Travis buckley Dolan butterworth Rothwell Brereton
  17. I think Nyambe gets a lot of unfair criticism especially at times from Mowbray who has dropped him at some point in every season in favour of inferior players. He's expected at times to be superhuman. I think what does me in a little bit is when people criticise him defensively then suggest we play JRC instead, when Nyambe is far superior defender both 1v1 and positionally. If people would prefer a more technically able RB then fair enough but I think it's another case of absence makes him look a better shout than he actually is at RB. Even on Saturday I didn't think he was bad at all, I don't Pickering as being more promising either he just has different attributes than Nyambe, I think if Nyambe was under contract for another 4 years and a premier league or top championship club came knocking we would be looking for £5million for him. The one player in our squad who has previously been suggested for a bigger move that is very overrated is Lenihan, who is useful and nothing more.
  18. Was a good game to take your grandson too, a very lively 2nd half. Hopefully he has caught the bug!
  19. Today or Tuesdays result doesn't change the fact that he deserves to be potted
  20. I came on here thinking everyone will be discussing the appalling refereeing today (for both sides) and mowbrays poor management (as per) and I'll have a rant about how poor I thought Sam gallagher was today up front... but it turns out you've all beaten me to it. He was terrible today, truly. I'd advocated him getting a run through the middle as he ain't a winger but you know what maybe he's just rubbish? I think for me the crux of his problem is he doesn't anticipate anything, zero instincts in and around the box which also leads to poor decision making. His next biggest problem is his poor touch. Then today he could barely stay on his feet and didn't put himself about to the degree he usually does. I've said he needs a run of games through the middle and that's still true but todays performance was so bad that we need to fast forward to plan c and try brereton through the middle and butterworth on the left. A 2/10 performance
  21. I've seen mowbray talk about 23/24 year old like they've just come straight out of the womb.
  22. 05/06 the lonsdale / lonsdale kit. Great season, bad kit.
  23. Would 100% take Neil
  24. You would think they would leave a space just in case a free agent came on the scene
