  1. There's (rightly) a lot of stick towards the senior leadership as to our usual speed in the transfer market. I'm actually rather impressed at how we've moved very swiftly onto the next target, once we got an experienced keeper through the door. Long may this trend continue.
  2. His brother plays for Skem, so maybe he wants to stay in the North West to be close to family. I'd still expect however as a professional footballer, you'd want to take an opportunity in the PL if the opportunity arises. So if its a straight race between us and WBA, i don't think we have a prayer.
  3. From a fitness perspective, he should be fine for when the season starts. If I remember correctly, the Belgian league (like Ligue 1) ended their season early. So he's had a decent break and then a somewhat "proper" pre-season, with their league already 2 games into the season.
  4. Maybe there's the option to drop the offer to Downing who doesn't seem interested, to give Westwood a decent wage (less than the reported 30k he's on). It's what I'd do if I was Mowbray.
  5. If Monaco are looking at that keeper, he can't be terrible surely?
  6. Sadly not the case Chaddy. I remember hearing a few weeks ago about Valladolid's defender Mohamed Salisu "on his way to England" to sign for Southampton. It'd all gone quiet until yesterday when they announced the signing and mentioned he'd passed a medical after being required to follow UK quarantine rules for however many days it was. You'd have to imagine now that most players signed are going to be UK based.
  7. Also has a brother (Harry) who plays for Stoke. On loan at Fleetwood last season and played the majority of games. 21 year old I think?
  8. Agreed. He stood out like a sore thumb in that Fulham defence that got relegated two seasons ago.
  9. So you basically give them the potential pro's. "Look Madame, if we organise the budget before the season ends, we could get a march on our rivals. There's the potential for us to get some good players at lower prices that could really push us on." That's not nagging, that's explaining the landscape and business benefits of quick decision making.
  10. Wasn't he the one we were looking at for a while and waiting for an answer before having to quickly pick up Walton? I may be mistaken, but I thought that was mentioned on here last summer. Look at what we could've won.
  11. Just to clarify, do you mean stop anyone attending a matchday at Ewood who is under 16 years of age?
  12. I can't imagine the amount of money being spent this "summer" as in recent years, by many clubs. For a start, how will clubs comply with FFP now and in the future? With minimal revenue coming in and still all the expenditure. Unless I'm wrong, owners can't just pump money in to balance the books nowadays (although I know that's up for debate). As it stands, I'd take 15m for Dack. Which is a shame as he's a joy to watch when he's on song.
  13. Chaddy, you need to look at yourself and think about the words and phrases you use. I'm convinced you don't mean it maliciously - but all the same, take a breath before pressing post. For what it's worth, If Shearer isn't in the first 2, there should be uproar.
  14. The exact tactic employed at the start of the season, and it didn't work. We faffed about with the ball between the back 4, before Del went diagonal to Gallagher.....issue was, it kept bouncing off him to either an opponent or into no man's land where we were slow to pick up the second ball. If we were going to employ that tactic again, I'd rather Samuel play there. He's shown more ability at controlling and holding up the ball in 2 games than Gallagher has all season.
  15. Buckley clearly good on the ball, think he's been quite decent. Terrible at tracking back though. Samuel terrific at holding the ball up, and a few times he's controlled a big lump up field and found a teammate. Ball Isn't bouncing off him like Gallagher.
  16. Yeah remember Unleaded breaking that from completely left field. Might get some more info once we start scouting Europe properly.
  17. My thoughts yesterday evening. A team still in the cup, Maybe the move got hindered due to Willems injury but back on with Rose's arrival. Might also explain Magloires return? Potential 3-5-2 with Ritchie and Nyambe Wing backs?
  18. That ball for Lenihan's goal was superb.
  19. Possibly Matthieu Udol? Started their season injured, but came back just before the Christmas period. 23 year old. I only make an educated guess based off the fact he's out of contract in the summer so it's the kind of deal we usually like to try.
  20. Cheers, I'd have done more than Brereton. ?
  21. Not terribly. He's been left open twice when our back line gave them more space than NASA, one which they punished us with. Bar that, he's been ok. Distributed quite well and looks to attack a corner at least.
  22. Chapman does more in 10 seconds than Brereton's 45 minutes.
  23. Half the players look devoid of any confidence. And Brereton's legs are like pinball flippers, you can't teach a first touch and his has always looked awful, includingin all his YouTube videos.
