  1. Totally agree and it appears that Rileys Robots are instructed to largely ignore what happens in the box at every free kick and corner. In Ref defence as soon as they clamp down on something the players are coached in some other cheating technique, if it works it spreads and its rinse repeat.
  2. ....... and more turnover (income, agent fees etc etc etc) than in League 1
  3. That's how I see it. A win or 2 leaving us just outside the playoffs, progress reported and a new contract for a term of his choosing. Rinse and repeat for the same outcome or worse in future. Anyway we are not far of finding out.
  4. Against a local(ish) rival and still with plenty to play for how can these so called professionals lose belief and their workrate suffer? Surely it can only be due to lack of belief and faith in the manager and his coaching staff. Even so I find it inexcusable. The remaining games will show up the players in there true colors. I am not expecting wins every game, just to know they tried their very best. If Dack and Brereton dont start and/or if a left footer plays right wing having already proven he can't do it I will certainly question Mowbrays motives and desire. I am so tired of Rovers being Mowbrays play thing and deeply bored with those amongst us who cannot see the truth or, as I suspect, argue just for the sake of it.
  5. @OldEwoodBluehas been consistent with his view for weeks now. I pray nightly that his predictions come to fruition. It doesn't get rid of our 'ownership' but does remove one of their useless by-products. If the next cheap past it managerial appointment is just as useless but a bit less annoying it will be a positive. That is how fecked up Rovers are. IMO
  6. IMHO it will continue that way as long as we are owned by the current owners ....... whomever they may really be. The ownership is happy to be in the Championship for reasons that I have no understanding of .... and the relegation to L1 caused a panic to their 'model'.
  7. The very reason I havent totally given up as yet. Come 5 pm Friday we may be back in a playoff position. OK probably temporary heading for a final position of 8th or maybe 7th. But is is a crap league, Huddersfield only a little better than an awful Luton, so strange things will still happen. My overriding concern is how much Mowbray wants it and what sort of team he will puit out to achieve HIS objectives.
  8. This is not a dead rubber for us. Not if we have even a mere splash of spunk in the team. I want them to do the business, not the tool conning a living and being called a manager.
  9. Getting loans of young players from PL clubs is possibly the easiest part of being a Championship manager. PL clubs are awash with them. We have picked up some good ones, just a shame we don't do strikers. It's no way to 'build' a club though, which is what Mowbray always claims hes doing, as its always back to start at the end of the loan periods. A good strategy though for a long 'Journey'. If I was bothered I'd dig out Mowbray quotes saying you cant succeed on loans and youth, Coventry exit springs to mind.
  10. Villa gave us the win and so did Brentford. Those 6 points distorted the overall points return under Mowbray that season and made him look good to those who don't look deeper.
  11. Mowbray Out - and take all those players who want to follow him. I'll chip in for a going away present of my choice.
  12. Yes, I was thinking that too. A legitimate reason and makes me wonder why we persist with the long punt at KO, although I suppose it moves us upfield.
  13. Like some others at Rovers its just non directional heading, just getting a part of the head in the way of the ball and hope something good happens. Sometimes that approach can fluke what then looks like a worldie. Think Chile. Lenihan at attacking headers, Nyambe with most headers are just 2 others who put their head in the way. Gallagher, well, hes just Gallagher. Has he ever won one of those long punts from our kick off, or ever directed it in play. Not much, that is for sure. I really don't think that they train at attacking headers much
  14. Ayala will love it next season. He can start his holiday early November when the Championship pauses for the World Cup.
  15. Paul Caddis. He may well have been slower than Pickering.
  16. He was preoccupied with fouling the Blackpool defender and lost the flight of the ball and the result was a pathetic header at an almost open goal.
  17. Since signing in the January window Hedges already has 7 appearances for Rovers on his CV ................... or a total of 141 minutes ........... How does appearance money work these days?
  18. Unless you're talking about types of poo, then it's ok
  19. I do not think he was offside when he received the ball just before turning the defender. He may however have just come back from being slightly offside. I'm going to wait for the replay on RoversTV to check. In fact I'm going to watch the whole game again to see if some of ours were really as pathetic as I think and I don't mean the usual suspects either.
  20. Blackpool deserved a win. That's the truth of it. We are still in with a chance of the playoffs only due to this league being full of very average teams. So, I can do polite even in the face of adversity. Quite chuffed with that.
  21. Radio Lancs commentary. Nice one.
  22. The referees are superb in the Championship. SU had a stonewall penalty turned down with just a few minutes to go. Then they go on to miss as good a chance as they had all game. One of those games where you wish both teams could lose.
  23. He has injury history when he joined, we are good at those signings. He's highly rated now that he doesn't play, rather like the untested Spurs lad who is now seen as the missing link in our goal scoring abilities.
