The problem with the penalty is the guy takes another stride before he goes down. Compare that to the incident in the first half when the guy barges Armstrong out the way to let the ball go out for a goal kick. If that happens on the halfway line it's a free kIck straight away.

Great hilarity at Burnley as they get a penalty (which it wasnt) but then as the guy is running up to take it the ref blows and ungives the penalty as VAR over-ruled it for offside (which it wasnt).

Shows how people see things differently. In the first half I thought Bell was shocking. He got beat practically every time. Travis was excellent and, as everyone says, it would be criminal if he lost his place after that. Bennet was shaky, especially the last 30 minutes, but his defensive header from within the 6 yard box in the first half was a cracking clearance. Armstrong was very good but mainly down to his pace. You know within the first 10 minutes If he is going to play well or not depending on whether he goes past the full back early. As good as Reed was, he's not a wide. An and his crossing was poor. Forget the price tag. Had we got him for £1million, I'd be saying he still looks like a very poor player and signing. The £7mill figure is just a kick in the balls. Ben Gladwin cost far, far less and he got called out for looking a very poor signing despite the fact we saw far less of him than we have of Brereton.
