I'm disappointed because I thought the Villa - Brum game was on the box. Im a sadist. I wanted to witness every turn of the knife.

No. I want to know what the Trust realistically think this could achieve? What's the realistic best case scenario? What are we actually asking the Sports Minister to do? Whilst it's fair enough supporters trusts trying to stop this happening again in the future, I don't believe anything that happens here can force Venkys to sell.Even in the aims given on the trust website. It's not an anti-trust view. It's just like re-living what BRAG did 4 years ago.
-
Exactly what I was going to ask. Whats the point? So that another dodgy owner trying to buy a different club in 5 years time might actually fail an improved 'fit and proper persons test'?
-
Unfortunately I'm starting to agree with the doubters. Senior's inability to add to the squad in January when we were in the bottom three has proved costly. However TM's shocking tactics on Monday and today have left serious doubts on his ability. When even Kevin Gallagher is saying it's possibly the worst attacking performance we have put in all season, and it's a must win game, you have to question it.
-
With rumours this week that should we get relegated our wage bill could be slashed by up to 50%, why would Cheston not want to finish third bottom.
-
If they release the 'freed up' money to be used on incomings then the squad can be reshaped. If they cut costs and pocket some of the savings then it's a massive ask to keep the side as competitive as they currently are (which this season has been not very).

We are no longer talking about big salaries. I'd imagine the medium earners will be under threat. Lowe got his new contract under Keano. That won't be small. Why do you think there is no talk at all of renewal. Evans, Graham and Guthrie will be on there way. No idea if Stokes and Mulgrew are on as much as those three. I'd hope not seeing as both were free and they didn't exactly have better options. They more likely dug their heels in for a 3 year contract cos the money wasn't high enough.

We've had the 'restructuring' of selling players with value and replacing them with players who are cheap/free. Stage 2 will be remove the higher earners and replace with people who are on less money. I can't see how anyone can disagree with the above.

We're on an express elevator to hell.

King, Cairney, rhodes, gestede, Olsson, Duffy, Hanley. Yet we still couldn't get close to getting in the top 6. We only went under FFP the year he left. Nice guy, good eye for a player, failure at Ewood.

Senior has put himself on the back foot with some cringeworthy interviews that have show he will happily fiddle while Rome burns. However he has done 3 major things so far. Remove Coyle (the good), give us Jaoa (the bad) and bring in Mowbray (the ugly ). Going forward, the relationship between him and Mowbray will need to be exceptionally good if he's providing players, However it has to be Mowbrays call if he wants them. It's no good forcing players on a manager and forcing him to adapt his system.which brings us back to is a DOF a glorified scout?
-
Stop trying to crow Chaddy. Anyone with half an eye could see Senior wanted Coyle out and a 'yes man' to work under him as a coach from as soon as he arrived.. You also said you expected a foreign coach to come in.
-
So do I Chaddy. That's because when we let everybody out of contract go we will have no choice. They'll be in the squad whether they are any good or not!

Rovers' mouth piece - the LT

Wonder if this is printed already in tomorrow's print version. Kean heads. -
Williams: Lower end championship player. Gallagher: OK for this level. Graham: Decent for this level. Lamberts parting gift. Feeney: Birmingham game aside, totally useless Hoban: OK Greer: Desperate Emnes: Declined after initial promise. Uninspiring Mulgrew: Very Good but that contract length is madness. Stokes, Byrne, Samuelson, Hendry: All missing in Action because they are so poor.
-
Lol. What skill? He's had one good game where he caused a slow full back trouble. He can put a decent cross in sometimes but he's hardly Josh King quick and he's no trickery, control or vision. I was all for praising him against Birmingham as he was very effective but that is the first glimpse I've seen of anything from him. I'd still drop him for Mahoney now.

Nyambe I've not formed an opinion of as I've not seen him enough. However I don't think Raya is anywhere near good enough. Another downgrade that might be accepted because he's from 'the academy'.

Pity that Manchester is on a Monday. I might make a night of it and go Liverpool on the 20th May. I'm impressed they've put so many UK dates on.

Let's go in on 18 minutes, get the whistles out on 30 minutes, throw a chicken on the stage and then leave on 75 minutes.

Exactly as Andyroversmad says above. We have a shortlist of candidates we are interviewing to find the best man for the job. Suddenly a candidate becomes available whose last three activities in football has led Bolton to relegation, failed at Wigan and then left Houston Dynamos when they are bottom of the league. Despite all of the interviews being completed, suddenly this guy becomes available, becomes front runner and gets the job. It stinks.

Barcelona need to beat Granada live on Sky Sports at 4pm to win La Liga. Only Ruben Rochina stands in their way. -
As Bolton have spent most of that time trying to build every other local team up as their 'big rival', maybe they can officially have Stanley.
-
When they have had to replace guitarists and the drummer previously, they've always gone back to ex-members who have been in the band previously. Stevie Young and Chris Slade both had spells in the band in the late 80s / early 90s so, when they stepped in a few years ago, in a way it still felt like the same band. Alongside them, Cliff Williams and Brian Johnson had been in the group over 25 years each so they are no longer stand ins.I know there are no ex singers to turn to but turning to Axl feels completely wrong. It stinks of having 30 expensive sold out dates to complete and needing a 'name' to justify the huge ticket costs.
