  1. How do we know that’s down to how JDT has developed him? He was outstanding in most of his games pre World Cup. He then didn’t play till April and has come back playing equally as well. No one is saying he should have played every week and been burned out. But in some games he surely would have been beneficial to have come on for 45 minutes here and there, especially as we all generally agree that Morton has had to play far more football this season than he was probably expected to.
  2. Where? Please show me these ‘many’ posts that show people are ‘more excited’ about criticising JDT than the prospect of his potential development.
  3. He didn't get better by not playing. We thought he was good from his brief appearances, and since he's started he's actually probably been better than we hoped. And as for the bit in bold, did you miss my last paragraph above? No-one has ever said play him every minute and run him into the ground have they?
  4. Why are those of us who have watched us struggle all season, whilst a player who looks levels above what we have hasn't been picked, 'armchair fans'? I'm personally getting a bit fed up of these comments from "fans" saying JDT has done right by the player by not featuring him from October to April and it hasn't cost us any points or a play off place. Those same happy-clapper-fans would be lapping up JDT as bold and brave had Wharton starred all season and got us in the play offs. There is a middle ground here. He needs looking after but in those game when we were awful first half, he would have been a far better option to bring on than what we had, and if even one of those games had resulted in a win we would still have it all in our own hands.
  5. Also, idiots running on the pitch during the game towards the end. One numpty did it from the home end at Preston. We had 2 do it last night. Why?
  6. I have no idea, and as much as I've read there is a big void in the story. Now apologies if I missed it in the EFL report, but if you know fill us in on what happened in that hour. Why did we not start submitting the paper work until just before the deadline?
  7. Fair points. Its just unlike Venkys to inform the manager he’s going to be left high and dry 6 months in advance. They normally leave them hanging.
  8. He’s done it all season. He’s a one trick pony. The lad next to me said don’t let him on his left foot seconds before Pickering did let him cut in on his left foot. It really wasn’t that difficult to stop from when he picked the ball up.
  9. I find it slightly difficult to believe that we would bring in GB and a new recruitment team, as well as a new manager. Then spend £5million within a few weeks of them arriving, only to then have no money for them once they have finally assessed the squad after 12 months.
  10. Greg Broughton. After January, you’ve proven to be another incompetent buffoon in the Venky’s saga. None of your kind have ever walk, and are rarely pushed, so you’ve probably got a summer to prove m opinion if you wrong. Actions will speak louder than words.
  11. Just one more thing I’d like to add to the debate before I retire for the night. Sky Sports. Stop putting us on the box FFS.
  12. I don’t think we were better defensively or offensively, but I don’t think we were worse. Apart from 20 seconds of calamity from Carter and Pickering, and a moment of brilliance, I never once felt like they looked like scoring. I think we were even in those aspects, although for once I thought we clearly won and outfought Burnley in the middle of the pitch. That’s a huge kudos to Wharton.
  13. Things have levelled off. You could see the results were outstripping the performances in the first half of the season. Now it’s swung the other way,
  14. I’m going to get banned at some point but honestly fuck off. We got a reply back from the EFL an hour before the deadline. You really think the paperwork was ready, but the club secretary was slow and did other things instead and happened to run over the deadline? Bollocks. It’s meant to be a relatively simple (minutes) job to complete what we needed to send, and the EFL reply was back by 10pm. There surely was some delay that meant we were on the very last minute which caused the problem of Silvester submitting the papaerwork. However some idiots seem to be absolute in absolving Saint Gregg of any blame, despite the fact he hasn’t said otherwise and has taken full responsibility. He was out of his depth and he has cost us royally.
  15. Nail on the head. Broughton and his team have properly fucked us over in January, and led to possibly the worst 6 days I can recall since the two cup exits in 1993.
  16. Yep. Just drove down and it’s dead bar police cars and vans.
  17. I've never seen an opposition forum more certain of victory than this lot on UTC.
  18. I think he's generally OK. Nothing spectacular. I'd hope that his mentality means that he is absolutely chomping at the bit to start tonight and make up for what he did on Saturday.
  19. What is stated against how many actually turn up are two different things. Against Coventry there were loads of season ticket holders missing in the JW Upper around me, and you could see groups of empty seat all around the back of the Blackburn End
  20. Wouldn't surprise me, but I think that restricts Szmodics by having him too deep and Dolan is generally ineffective there. We've been saying it for weeks, but if we were doing that I'd rather swap Dolan and BBD (or even let them line up as above but be clever enough to keep changing over positions during the game)
  21. Tayo Edun is about to tweet “I was born for this moment” any second now. 😀
  22. He’s hardly likely to say:- He did well early season but went off boil just before the World Cup.. I eventually dropped him for Buckley but he got injured. Broughton fucked the transfer window up so I had to play him. I then eventually dropped him for Wharton, but as we had no strikers we had to go three in the middle so I recalled him. Average championship fringe player at the moment Id say. Think he tried his best, possibly with the exception of the final moments at Bramall Lane
