Can't see it being in Britain. I've said before, out of the 2 - Saudi and Vegas- I pick Saudi every time. For entirely selfish, time difference reasons. I know people worry about legitimising a brutal regime. But the UK still gives 100 million odd aid to them, and in last 5 years we sold 15 billion of arms to them to wage war with Yemen. If people want to make political points, address those bigger issues. A boxing match barely registers in the big picture. And I don't want to piss about at 5am to enjoy the biggest bout in decades.

Don't spoil it! I got 2 to go. If you're short a show McMafia is ok. That and Fauda probably the 2 I've enjoyed most in lockdown.
-
Nope, was in my planner for ages, never got round to it. Was aware it was Meadows though. Looked depressing as hell. Worth the misery or not?

Wow! Brassic has more in common with Last of the Summer Wine than This is England.

Nurit would have you for breakfast. ? Did you know the actor that plays Doron was a commando in the Isreal special forces when he was younger. And at 19 his girlfriend was killed by a Palestinian terrorist with a 15 inch knife. Basically, his life has been like a lot of the show.
-
Me too. Just finished ep 9 season 3. The tension in some of these episodes is intense right? Glad you're enjoying it.
-
Ta, will get to it when I finish Fauda. I'm doing all the foreign language ones on my own, wife not keen on subtitles. Although I think she may tackle Money Heist with me. As everyone raves about it.
-
Glad you're enjoying it. Nah, it's not up there with the greats, but still a good watch. I'm halfway though season 3, so not long to go. My favourite character is probably Gabi, Captain Eyov. I would not be messing with him. You'd end up in a solitary cell for a decade.

Nobody likes a show off! ??

I used to be the same. I had 2 rules, never watched anything in black and white ( other than Schindler's List, I mean old b & w), and never watched anything with subtitles. Then 5 seasons of Narcos converted me. I'm all over it now. Will be moving on to Money Heist with full subtitles next. Heard good things. Again, I think a lot of people watch it with dubbing.
-
It builds from there. I almost bailed out after 2 episodes, (didn't help I watched episode 1 with the awful dubbing), thought I'll give it one more, and then I was hooked. Watching now, Series 2, Episode 9, all sorts of drama going on.

It's been in my Netflix list for about 2 years. Now 2 of you have bigged it up I'm gonna have to pull my finger out.

Isreal/Palestine conflict. You mean like "wagwan fam". ? Yeah caught 30 mins of City of God once, and was gripped. Always meant to go back and do entire thing but never got round to it. You're supposed to be watching Topboy Summerhouse before Season 1 episode 1.

For anyone that can handle foreign language and subtitles, I've just got into this show. I'm currently halfway through the 3 seasons. It's excellent. Gets 100% from Rotten Tomatoes. To put that in perspective other shows that score 100% are: 24, Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad and Fargo. Tip: In Uk it will be set to dubbed audio. Switch it to Arabic and use subtitles only. You have to hear the inflections in their voices to appreciate the tone and emotion. (And dubbing is just generally awful).

My favourite is "Newcastle isn't a big club.." Which they recycle regularly. The Geordie Nation are like a team of piranhas feasting on that one. Always goes down well when it's pointed out they've nowt in about 70 years. Although, suppose that might change if the Saudi blood money comes rolling in.

Ah crap, that's me out then, my cool kids badge got confiscated around 2005.

Has introduced me to some new music. Was actually listening to this track before I went to bed last night: I'd never really heard of Dave before. ☺ I'm a bit of a dinosaur. If it was after Tupac and Biggie I'm clueless. ?

Happy Birthday fellas! Hope you both have a good un. I'll use you as today's excuse with the missus to start drinking early. Her - "Beer at 2pm Silas?!" Me - "I'm celebrating the birthdays of 2 blokes from the internet I've never met before." Her- "?????"
-
If by "delight" you mean one of the most repulsive people to ever be on my TV screen, then yeah. ? One final thing, "Summerhouse" got canned between seasons, so prepare yourself for some things to be.....unresolved. It then skips 6 years, the characters all grow up, but the payoff is worth it. Fantastic finish to the new season.
-
Both great, I like Ozark more. But Mike Milligan in Fargo is one of my favourite characters ever. Steals every scene. Make sure you do Top Boy in right order - I didn't! - cos Season 1 Episode 1 isn't the first episode. ?? You have to do Top Boy "Summerhouse" first.
-
You watched Top Boy yet? "The British Wire". Just finished them all. Really enjoyed it. Some great characters.

"Thanks for all you're doing. I hope this brightens the place up a bit, even if its only black and white." On Southampton General Hospital. Thought this was better in good news rather than the coronavirus thread. Nice work Banksy! Whoever you are.

If Germany get matches up and running early, BT Sport could be sat on a goldmine. Borossia Dortmund v Bayern Munich in the title race is due 3 matches in on the original fixtures. The viewing figures would surely be off the chart. Which would mean advertising revenue would be stratospheric. I looked this up: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/top-5-most-watched-premier-21158602.amp The most watched Premier League match is Man City 1-0 Man Utd, 2012 (4.04 million). Under the current circumstances I can't see how a top level German match doesn't smash that record. A relegation battle fixture might even do it. Some TV companies are going to be making serious money. Would be nice if some of that was pumped back into the sport. Although, I'm sure they would argue they've lost a shed load in the shutdown.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.sky.com/story/amp/coronavirus-chris-kamara-says-its-outrageous-that-footballers-are-asked-to-take-wage-cuts-11981797 I see Kammy hasn't been paying attention again. There's quite a few "outrageous" things going on in the World at the moment. Not sure I'd include Ozil and De Bruyne taking a 3 month pay cut as one of them.
