  1. They might have trusted the Walker Trust to have carried out a decent process! They might have trusted the Fit and Proper person test..or whatever it is called. Can't blame the supporters for the twisted, greedy actions of crooked Indians and their partners. FOV...
  2. Watch the process, though. Managed decline/dumbing down expectations along with everything else. So much so that even I enjoyed an away win at Bury in the Third Division. How would any of us have responded, if someone had told us in 2010? I guess we might have had a significant boycott. Our fans were superb at Bury. They don't deserve this regime!
  3. Let's hope it ends positively with a sale to some decent owners. But...many a slip twixt cup and lip etc
  4. Unless he was worried about the hamstring problem!
  5. Yes, I had the exact same expectations of him. I certainly expected him to come to the fore in the Championship. I think we have had to endure a crap, dysfunctional midfield for almost seven years and Lowe seems to have typified that. This year it does look more solid and creative. Elvis will be spinning by the way!
  6. Haha. It does happen. Tony Finnigan against Burnley, anyone?
  7. Ian McGregor would have called it "managed decline". Rage, rage against the dying of the light...
  8. Yes. It all seems a bit "shabby" (in the Terry Thomas sense) It smells of people, who have never owned the ethos of a small town club, steeped in tradition and who don't give a *** about Blackburn Rovers. I am sure Jack would have sacked the lot of them. Then there is someone like TM, who does seem to be a decent bloke.
  9. Yep. I always remember Nicky Campbell's comments on 5 Live, when the FA Cup semi final draw had "secured" Rovers v Chelsea and Utd v Watford. "What a surprise!"
  10. What a great win. I saw this on a Sky blue blog. Wonderful to read: Unfortunately they were left a little punch drunk against Mowbray’s death-by-passing. To be fair, I’m being needlessly critical of Blackburn’s approach there – they controlled the match and also made plenty of incisive passes, catching us on the break countless times. All good for them and their possession stats; a bloody hard night’s work for us.
  11. I absolutely love that. Unfortunately, I am on record for a dismissive comment about the Tiananmen Square students the morning after Selhurst '89. Any time I get on any kind of political high horse, my family love to remind me.
  12. Maybe, I am just destined to swim against the tide. One if the people in my ..er..facebook bubble posted something about looking forward to the concert. The person is intelligent and lives 3 miles out of Blackburn. My comment "Dirty money for Venky's LOL" Reply "What?" Reply " Really?" Reply "What is Venky's?" Our private Hell is so private, it is secret, off the radar...we are stranded in a Beckett play...screaming in space..
  13. Interesting. A bit generous for me. I would say Lawrence and Taylor were misses. Corry Evans is a miss-an expensive one too(salary). He flatters to deceive and seems to miss more games than he plays. Judge I would class as a miss because Bowyer simply wasted him and we could have had a £7million+ player in our team.
  14. I had to stop reading....God, how I hate the *******! Anyone else hear that two of the loathsome scum were on Venky's payroll 8 months before the takeover?
  15. Haha..More deprived. Nobody took me . I was 13, when I started. See what I missed!
  16. Sadness BBQ LOL! I agree re Hoillett. The Lowe thing is interesting. The process whereby a certain agent put all our "junior" players on ridiculous wages needs looking at.
  17. Yes. At least, I expect them to give us some decent service first. Barker, Dunny and Duff were difficult enough. Jones was a scandal, as I think Mahoney will turn out to be, as well. If I am really going to wallow in my pain, here is a list of pre-Walker departures in my time that were like bereavements: Keith Newton Kenny Knighton Eamonn Rogers Tony Field Roger Jones John Bailey Kevin Hird Simon Barker Colin Hendry ( first time) Heaven knows I'm miserable now!
