I guess there is a question for Waggott about the actual benefits to the club of Category 1 Status and what will be the negative consequences, should the club lose it. Then, it will be relatively simple to measure this against any financial benefits of land sale/ bringing it all under one roof etc....

I can see the damage to the club. Hypothetically, though, how might current club employees benefit from the club selling the club's land for housing. What should we look for? Where? Would they have to be directly involved with another company(companies) further along the chain? Will we have to await which company wins any tendering process and find out who is on the board? Opprobrium, Odium ...Otium etc?

Yeah. Putting aside all politeness, he was shit... -
So awful to read that. Even you! One day, someone will have to do a selection of such posts from this very board, since 2010 and publish them, as the emotional record of the distress associated with the wilful destruction of a historic football club. Do you remember us miming Tony Field's toothless goal celebration at Watford on a dance floor sometime in 1973?....Mamamama.Those women thought we were on "our day out"! I boycotted 2011-13 in disgust and sadness,..... but I still kicked every ball.. I did it again on the appointment of Coyle..The outstanding candidate!...Such a insult to our intelligence and Jack's legacy. WTF do they think they are! Then, in February my youngest persuaded me to go to Burton on Tony Mowbray's first game. I was thinking that the relegation at Brentford and our resurgence in"Division 1" might have stemmed a total meltdown, but it is beginning to look only a temporary stay of execution. If you wanted to wear down and destroy 12, 000 people's passion for their club, this is a textbook manual. FOV.....A.D!

Will you ever tell the truth?

I think you should travel over from Sheffield to attend, if only to storm out in protest at the sheer mendacity. At least the minutes can record those five immortal words.. "Elvis has left the building."

Yes. I have reached the conclusion is that nothing will ever be right, until these owners are out of the club. As long they remain, the best we can hope for is second rate appointments in key positions and bumbling along mid to bottom half of the Championship. This will have an obvious detrimental effect on the investment of the fanbase. The club will go to the wall in a slow death... If they are going to go, I just want it to happen sooner rather than later. Then, we can start to build an honest future, where the raison d'etre and all emphasis is on trying to build a team that is successful on the pitch. A working class hero is something to be for Tony Mowbray and John Lennon, maybe, but I want a continuous improvement ethic.. I can't tell you how much I am so fcking sick of the malaise brought on by this toxic Indian takeaway... OUT, out!! -

Dunn's comments certainly made me uneasy.... -
In huge danger imo. I was thinking of Blackpool's fall way back in '78. TM's interview last night was very sad really. The working class Blackburn bit won't win him many friends, as if our fans should lie down and accept mediocrity and suspended animation. Even a blind man can see that this team is going down, unless something changes quickly.

His brother is an agent -
So...with thanks to Arbito... Mowbray sold a dream To build a football team, Now they're selling our players. They're selling our training ground. We're shit at the back And shit in attack. We're Blackburn Rovers, they're taking us down.??
-
Thanks, F.R. Leavis! In fact, I believe the Rovers fans version, which I love, gets the rhyming wrong. In Rovers fans version, I believe the last word, "back" should rhyme with "loan"...So in Arbitro's vesrsion, "crap" should rhyme with "down". In your own, "crap" should rhyme with "back".... Meanwhile, I am off to get a life....

Blind loyalty is a barrier, all right. However, enlightenment is the key for many. I remember an anonymous person depositing a bundle of 500-1000 leaflets for the attention the EWMC group. This was a list of facts about all that had been going on at the club with clear references etc. I know a lot of fans were shocked to read it-even 4 years later....
