I stress this is only a hypothesis! If Mulgrew does indeed have "such a clause", that may explain his decision to end his Wigan spell. In theory, it would have put him in a stronger position to push for a free transfer with Rovers paying up the rest of his contract? -

Sam Gallagher Returns

The only possible excuse/explanation is that we only have a partial analysis. Maybe( yes, I know..) there are things about DS's, Chapman's fitness we don't know. I have to say that Rothwell gets better in fans' eyes, the longer he doesn't play. -

He is just being seen to stand up for a teammate in public. Nothing to see here. -

That is deferred gratification...on steroids lol -
So much pointless possession, waiting for the through ball that never comes. Soul destroying! It feels like I have sat through last night's events on many occasions. It is like a script at home. ZZzzzzzzz....

Well that matters not a jot. The point is to get there.

No argument from me either about Tony receiving recognition, although I'd prefer it if they were able to give him some practical help at the same time. However, the idea of a Tony Parkes Stand was a supporters' idea, that built up a head of steam. None of us know whether the club has other ideas for naming the stands in the light of FFP . etc. I know I had my own suspicions about the timing of the Ronnie Clayton mural, but my argument here is that it is not reasonable to lambast the club, simply because it does not immediately sign up to the stand idea, generated online. That does not necessarily mean disregard for Tony -

Not really. But that Venky's advert, for instance, with the players eating medicated chicken....in their Rovers kit -

The Brereton one looks like a waste to me. Gallagher looks way overpriced, as well. Only blue and white tinted spectacles(like my own) and wishful thinking stand in the way of accepting those two assertions! -

You have to subtract Dunn, Rhodes and King from his "assembly" though.. -

Brilliant. Famous fan too. Is that James Joyce on the right, fourth row from the front? -
Reminds me of an article in 4000 Holes years ago by Hank, one of our posters here. It was written about Rovers after our third playoff failure in 1990, I think. It struck a real chord with me at the time too. It was entitled, "When is it our bloody turn?" That was when we had been out for a mere 24 years. Preston must have been out of it for nearly 60,,,

Hmmm. I wonder what the Nobbers fans would think about that. Rovers, Blackpool, Wigan, Burnley, Carlisle, Bradford, Barnsley Oldham, Swindon, Notts County, Oxford, Reading, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Hull, Bristol City, Swansea, Cardiff, Wimbledon, Charlton, among others, have all been in the top flight at least once, since PNE's last season there .....Heart bleeds lol.

A tad unrealistic, but I would have preferred something like.. Even growing up in Chapel House, the young Geordie was captivated by the famous blue and white halves...

Haha. Makes up for Bauer!

Fair enough. For my own sanity, I just prefer to take a longer view. Relegation-both times-was self-inflicted. Both times, on the way down, we sold good players and replaced them with poor ones. The problem is that the longer we stay down in the Championship, the more likely we are to lose our prized assets. And remember we have never really occupied a playoff position. It will be an absolute miracle, if TM can get us up this year in the context of injuries and window failure.
