Land sales/property investment is really not my strong suit. What is your working hypothesis about all the different ways that club employees could make personal gain from this? If it is unwise/too unsafe to make a public post PM me...It sounds like I need to sharpen my own awareness....

Being ruthless, I wouldn't break the bank to keep Rothwell. We just can't rely on him to show often enough. He flatters to deceive. A very frustrating player. I would not trust Tony to do the rebuild either. Some gems like Dack and Armstrong, but far too many duds and expensive ones too.

Yes, my own sense is that it is a cancer and it needs to be cut out totally...and that the Coventry 3 are probably only(!) symptoms like Anderson, Kean, Agnew etc. Not sure if we have the surgical team available at the moment? Sometimes, maybe, the symptoms have to be dealt with along the way?

At this moment in time, I would just like to be sure it is Venky's, who are driving this. I am not giving them a free pass( see my pen name lol)....but the Coventry thing makes me particularly uncomfortable....and it is urgent.

It certainly crossed my mind. However, I would like to see the honest working out. How much does the academy cost? What does it deliver in terms of players to the first team, player sales? Of the players we have picked up from other clubs, e.g. Travis from Liverpool, JRC from Man U, 1) What ages did they come to Rovers? 2) Did our Cat 1 status have any bearing on the capture of Travis et al ?

I guess there is a question for Waggott about the actual benefits to the club of Category 1 Status and what will be the negative consequences, should the club lose it. Then, it will be relatively simple to measure this against any financial benefits of land sale/ bringing it all under one roof etc....

I can see the damage to the club. Hypothetically, though, how might current club employees benefit from the club selling the club's land for housing.What should we look for? Where? Would they have to be directly involved with another company(companies) further along the chain? Will we have to await which company wins any tendering process and find out who is on the board? Opprobrium, Odium ...Otium etc?
