  1. This really is an excellent piece of work. It educates the genuinely unknowing about the issues and is very clever in the way that it plays in the Coventry thing. I know it is posted on David Conn's twitter thing...and it is getting a good response-even on TheRovers facebook page. That has 14k members. I
  2. Just thinking. Is there a way of sorting something out without showing all our cards on here? All sorts of people read this site, including allies of Lady Godiva and Peeping Tom!
  3. From Wiki... However, he did not enjoy his time at Ewood Park, and later wrote that "the dourness of the club matched that of the town. I could not shake off the depression that caused me to wake each day regretting that I had to go to the ground. Life was grey and monotonous".[21] This led to him handing in a transfer request the day before the final, which he later admitted was an occasion where his "vanity triumphed over common sense".[22] He was not at full fitness in the final itself, and had a quiet game as Blackburn lost 3–0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
  4. Not sure it was. O'Keefe actually played a blinder in the FMC final,as Gennoe was out. I am pretty sure Vince did break his leg against Ipswich, but not in the FMC...

  6. Lol...Actually, one of those famous cockney character actresses from the black and whites was born in Blackburn...
  7. Meanwhile. during the blitz, chirpy cockneys continued to whistle and crack jokes even as the bombs fell...
  8. I have to say my own education in this matter has been largely made up of things I really did not want to hear!
  9. Oh, that explains it...I haven't been able to read them. Anyway, almost certainly there are others, lurking on the site, who should not know how much you/ we know etc.. So for now, I can accept there are "known unknowns"
  10. Yeah...so damned racist ....that we appointed him in the first place
  11. Doom and gloom in our house all day. So sad for him. I couldn't bring myself to post about it. I thought Mowbray's Sky interview was very dignified. It moved me too.
  12. The secret of good comedy is timing though. Taking the piss is not the problem for me. It is the attempt to sideline and dismiss someone, who is trying to do something positive...
  13. BUT....as an employee of the club, I would expect that all moneys ought to go back to into the club....I guess that would require owners, who were vigilant anf had processes of scrutiny in place....
