  1. Well, the evidence is certainly stacking up. So much money wasted on duds in purchases and lengthy extensions... And I can still remember how Lee and Furphy quickly put together functional teams through their own knowledge of players, who could do a job.
  2. Blimey, Tyrone, I can almost see you in The Snug in the other "Rovers", mouthing "Common!"
  3. But Lenihan is saying "Top 6 is still the aim" and Tony is "hoping history won't repeat itself!"
  4. A 12 points deduction would put them in the bottom 2. However, I noted that the expedient penalty for Brum was calculated, so as not to do too much damage in terms of relegation!
  5. The first thing not right is the length of the latest contract... Something certainly changed after that first game. I am assuming there was a row. I don't believe that it is the interview that is odd. TM just( rightly) omits what happened to generate the hurried departure in the first week of the season.
  6. Dustbin season-another one!
  7. Yep. I had to smile at a poster, who was watching a recent game on TV with his wife, who kept saying, "Why doesn't the one in the gloves try to stop the cross?"
  8. Agreed. Huge mistake to let Byrom go in the first place.
  9. I don't disagree. I was delighted to see him back, but I still regret the fact that he missed so many games.
  10. Haha. But mostly, they don't work, I would say. The exceptions are Hendry, Berg and Byrom. Dunny never really hit the heights after his return imo. Lots of time out through injury and non-selection. I can easily add to the failures...Pickering, Metcalfe for starters..Carew?
  11. Quite. Do we know how many of our player signings / extended contracts share the same criteria?
  12. Anyone know a current employee, who might be able use his previous experience around the sale of a training ground?
  13. Picking the ball out of the net?
  14. Yeah. I don't think he is creme de la creme, even at our level, but I think we need him to ensure survival?!
  15. ...It could be Tosin? But Darragh is known to be coveted by the likes of Sheffield Utd!
  16. Thanks . I will check that. It certainly does worry me. I guess I could do with working out a diagram of links between managers, players and agent "families". Is HSH really an SEM phoenix or just another agency, employing agents, some of whom happen to have been with SEM lol? Anyway, Coyle said he had never heard of SEM.........then he went to Mass!!
  17. So the "concern"-again- is around unhealthy links to individual agents and specific agencies. I can see the link between SEM and HSH and the link between Coyle and TM in terms of "agency". I can see the link between HSH and Middlesborough. Yes, I have been worried about the pattern of poor signings. I was also deeply suspicious about, who pulled the strings for the "outstanding candidate" to ditch the genuinely outstanding one. Previously, there were concerns about SEM/Kentaro's interests being "paramount" and later about the source of the "Portugueezers". However, I have yet to see the workings out, linking the recent crop of dud signings to particular agents/agencies and to the manager. Can anyone with more knowledge help? How many awful transfer mistakes can we observe without starting to become suspicious again?
  18. As in The Indian Strawbs-"You won't get me, I'm part of the (Western) Union?"
  19. Just hoping this trip to the Valley will see TM selecting our best eleven!
  20. Surely, we all knew Dack was the insurance for FFP. TM has said it on multiple occasions. I think we do have real problems with 1)failure to hook enough match goers-partly a result of the poor fare(on top of recent history), 2) pissing money away on at least 2 very poor signings and 3) the fact that wages are so far ahead of income, so it's no surprise that FFP is a threat. I think there is a significant credibility gap too. If we are genuinely aiming for top 6 (lol), we must have a balanced squad and play appropriate players in key positions. There is a real, hopeless sense of the club settling for sterile, mid to lower table mediocrity.
