Certainly not by "forgetting" to inform the old captain! -

Flitcroft replaced by Barry Ferguson....wasn't managed well by Souey... -
Norwich - tempting fate

Sorry. My bad...Forgot about 2015! But I do think it is significant that in four out of six Championship seasons we finished 17th, 15th, 22nd ..and we are currently 14th with one game to go. -

Norwich - tempting fate

Agreed. To be honest, I felt a bit embarrassed that we didn't lay a glove on them really and we were on TV in front of the nation. Since the infestation, we have never been in contention. I think all but one of our seasons in the Championship have seen us finish in the bottom half of the table...and we have been in relegation trouble for three of those seasons. This is why I am resistant to the forgetful, "start again" analysis that focuses on the fact that we only came up last year...so we should be satisfied etc. Last year was merely an anaesthetic ,or an escapist trip away from Venky Hell....The summer will reveal so much, but let's not hold our collective breath. -
As in... still here?

Summer Transfer Window 2019
Leonard Venkhater replied to Neal's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Well, at least the club is in a strong position, as he signed a new contract last year until 2022... -
In the circumstances of our finances, our position in the second tier, our well -known deficits in other areas of the pitch and BB's lack of proven experience, this signing was a real concern to me. Had we used that money differently, I am confident that we could have made the play- offs. Whether we would have been good enough to win them is another matter. Not sure whether Nuttall is any better though!

He is right though. Rovers made a big thing about Duff's work with Dean Saunders on his finishing. -
Oh, believe me, I know!

The more progressed Nuttall...What an indictment!

God only knows how fans of Wimbledon must feel! Our tale may not be the worst, but it is bad enough. You only have to scroll back through this message board to see the distress and anxiety. Just to think that 10 years ago none of us had ever heard of Venky's, Pune or Steve Kean. Some of us would be vaguely aware of the Barnet spiv for his "activities" at Man City. Rovers fans do not have a sense of entitlement. We do understand the swings and roundabouts and the ordinary ups and downs of football, but no group of supporters should have to endure what happened here....but....coming to a club near you etc.

Good to see FC United fans supporting this project. A few were wondering why there has not been more fuss about how Rovers have been reduced. They had a collection for the play in their pre -match entertainment session before their home defeat to Nuneaton. I hope some BRFCS posters feel able to support this too. https://www.roverstrust.com/2019/01/17/heart-scarf-soul-a-play-starring-a-blackburn-rovers-fan/

Mowbray: Stay or go?
Leonard Venkhater replied to Stuart's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Surely, TM must be able to see it. Or is there another agenda behind who gets to play? Echoes of my feelings after the game at the Valley last season. Certainly, it is very odd! -

I am allowing myself to savour a good performance and a fine win, when I had begun to wonder where the next damned point was coming from! Is there something I don't know? After tonight I am even more mystified about the team selection last Saturday and on far too many other occasions. -

I am resistant to getting rid of TM. I think he took a gamble, maybe keeping his powder dry for next year. Yes, I have concerns re his recruitment-also his team selection and tactics, but I would be troubled if he got the push! Like others, I would also have some trepidation about who might be paraded, as the most successful candidate! Conflicted or what!
