  1. Get Mowbray out of this club now. He's an absolute embarrassment and the players are clearly just going through the motions. We've not competed for any 50/ 50 challenges, second best all over the pitch. Not getting forward with any intent. Can only hope for another Derby half time scenario again with him sidelined and sulking for second half. Can't believe fans haven't turned on him yet.....need to do it now asap
  2. Why on earth would anyone want Mowbray, Venus and Waggot to remain at our club
  3. Each of those observations is 100% spot on and has been the case for weeks now. Why Mowbray cant see it is beyond me
  4. Fortunate to be still in it. In the battle of management no hopers, Ince is coming out on top. What a pathetic first half......sort it out Mowbray, like you allegedly did midweek....or better still have another massive sulk and butt out of it.
  5. Last night was one of the worst displays of football management you could witness. Like everyone else I was dumbfounded to see that Johnson was seriously playing as a high energy pressing false 9. Imagine if anyone had suggested that on the pre match thread, they would have rightly been ridiculed. This comes the game after seeing Gallagher hugging the touchline, and Giles, one of the league's most creative left wing backs playing on the right wing, whilst Pickering is bang out of form. I am convinced that this group of players, with the right management and motivation would have been capable of automatic promotion. You could see in the first half last night they had no belief in Mowbray and how they'd been set up. I hope some of them did put him well and truly in his place at half time. The winning run we had been on needed the minimum input from Mowbray in that everyone was on form and fit, so the team was picking itself game after game. The minute we needed some adjustments Jurgen Pep Mowbray came into his own and made an absolute pigs ear of it and players started under performing instead of playing to their maximum. So the downward spiral began. Somehow we need to re group from here. No need to ditch the back 5, just get Giles as left wing back due to Pickerings loss of form. Hopefully Nyambe will be back soon on right side, but in meantime will have to make do with Costello. The key is that the wing backs are instructed to play as genuine attacking forces on the front foot for 90 minutes, getting the ball into 2 more centrally located forwards. If wing backs are doing their job right, why on earth do we need two wide strikers and no one in the middle.....where did Mowbray even get that idea from. Gallagher(until Diaz is back) and either Dolan / Kahdra can play more central. Midfielders 3 of Travis, and 2 from Buckley, Dack, Rothwell. Keep it simple Mowbray for what will hopefully be your last few games at this club. Last night proved once and for all he needs to go, along with his equally useless crony Waggott.
  6. I actually don't mind that. Need Rothwell and Buckley back for some creativity hopefully. Surely Giles will be on left up front. Either way could be lot worse
  7. I'd take 10 points and £100m............plus a new manager
  8. Should be nayambe in the 3 with JRC at right wing back. Main concern will be Ayala probably would have handled Andy Carroll. Should still have enough as long as they're all 100% on it.
  9. Hopefully Mowbray will learn now that we're not here to hand out favours to old mates
  10. Good spot Perth. If there is indeed a purchase on the cards this will clearly be it. This came on the market a couple of months ago and adjoins the Junior academy site at the bottom end of Brockhall. It would actually be perfect for developing everything on one site and expanding / improving the facitilities as Waggot claims he wants to do. The senior site could then be closed / disposed of with no 50% downsize as he tried to sneak through 1st time round. It would actually all make sense in an ideal world. Though how are we expected to believe we are going from a 50% downsize and cost reduction excersize, to what would be new expanded 150 acre + facility? Something just does not stack up. This will need to be treated with the utmost caution until we detailed plans.......and even then with Waggots track record we'd need to be very wary indeed.
  11. That's the key difference, finally shut of the likes of Bennett, Evans, Downing, & Johnson not featuring etc. Should have happened ages ago.......we can now hopefully move forward as long as Mowbray allows them to thrive. He's hopefully woken up and realised that Rothwell, Travis and Buckley are the future........now let them get on with it.
  12. Thanks again Tony, always very interesting. Buckley's recent scores shows his ever increasing importance to the team.....obviously apart from when he's played as centre forward...........they will be even better when he starts adding more assists and the odd goal to his game, which should come as his confidence continues to grow. Fair play to Poveda who I didn't want to see again after some of his previous appearances.......something to build on hopefully. Let's see if Davenport can push on after a full game, still far from convinced but hopefully he can at least become a worthwhile member of the squad.
  13. Can somebody explain why, even in the midst of our biggest ever home humiliation in 146 years, this conman of a manager gets a free pass. Why aren't the Blackburn End in particular calling for him to go? I spoke to several fans tonight who were of the opinion 'what do you expect were playing Fulham they were in premier league last year' I fear a lot of our fans are as defeatist and negative as Mowbray himself.
  14. Thanks Tony very interesting and accurate reflection. It also confirms to me that there were quite a number of strong performances, and the biggest liability to the team and reason for the failure was sat in the dugout.
  15. Should this not read THE most successful town club in the country. Can anyone name a town club with a more illustrious history than Rovers?
  16. Just witnessed 2 of the worst substitutions imaginable. Mowbray obviously more concerned about satisfying liverpool and leeds than his own team. The nature of the game was totally unsuited to Poveda and Clarkson, whereas Butterworth and Edun would have been appropriate. Sackable behaviour by Mowbray.
  17. Buckley was outstanding today and will continue to get better as long as he's not messed about to make way for promised game time for loanees
  18. Maybe 4, 2, 3 1. Travis and Clarkson as the 2, Rothwell buckley and brereton, behind Gallagher?
  19. Not sure what went on between Harvey Elliott and Travis when substituted tonight....seemed to be a few words and finger pointing exchanged. Very odd and not a good sign....unless I misread it?
  20. If either Mowbray or Waggot are in situ I will not buy another season ticket next season as I cannot endorse they way they are using the club. If things continue as they are we will look back in years to come and they may well be viewed with ghe same contempt, if not more than Kean / Coyle........at least they didn't set about dismantling the infrastructure Jack put in place.
  21. Yes you are right about the Venkys Gav. They are the reason, along with Mowbray/ Maggot etc we aren't competing. I accept that. I don't accept hiding behind parachute payments
